Hello, zevdemona, welcome to the forums and to CC, I hope you enjoy your time here.

 

The first card is extremely underpowered. Generally, monsters that need to be Tribute Summoned are not worth the effort, because there are far easier ways to summon powerful monsters without having to create the Tribute fodder and then draw the monster at the same time. It takes too long and wastes your Normal Summon. Most high-Level monsters in the Main Deck will have a clause that allows them to Special Summon themselves (Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning) or a support card that lets you Special Summon them (Fire Kind High Avatar Garunix + Onslaught of the Fire Kings).

Then there is the effect itself. Sure, it prevents itself and its friends from being destroyed by battle, but effect destruction and non-destruction removal are the most common ways of getting rid of monsters now so it will not be difficult to get rid of once it is on the field. Also, the card doesn't really do anything other than sit there being a minor annoyance in certain situations. Give it a proactive effect that will allow it to achieve the goal of the rest of the Archetype.

You mention you have other support cards for this Archetype, so if you have one that will allow you to Special Summon this, then it won't be so bad. But the effect desperately needs buffing.

Since you're new, you might want to check out the Mentorship program that is stickied in this section. It will help you become a better cardmaker and understand what makes a good Custom Card.
