Galkin
* This card was originally called "Hundred-Eyes Restrict" Thousand-Eyes Abate DARK Rank 1 Spellcaster / XYZ / Effect ATK: 0 DEF: 0 3 Level 1 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card and target 1 monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card. (You can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card with this effect.) This card's ATK and DEF become equal to that equipped monster's. If this card would be destroyed by battle, destroy that equipped monster instead. If this card has any of the following monster as Xyz Materials, it gains the following effect(s): • "Relinquished": The effect of this card is a Quick Effect, but you must detach a "Relinquished" that is being treated as an XYZ Material to activate the effect of this card during your opponent's turn. Your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from battles involving this card. • "Thousand-Eyes Idol": Negate the effect(s) of all other face-up monsters on the field. Clearly, intended as the replacement for Thousand-Eyes Restrict (since it's banned).
Delibirb
As Relinquished is my favorite card I am obligated to review this. I like this concept quite a bit; Multiple effects gained based on specific Xyz Materials. I think this was executed quite well. Having the Relinquished-gained effect let it equip a monster outside of your main phase is a very powerful buff, but you did quite well in countering that by having it require Relinquished be detached. Thousand-Eyes Idol's gained effect is a nice replacement to the expected other-monsters-cant-attack bit, making this a very powerful and difficult card to deal with, while not being as abusive or lockdown-y as TER. Flavor-wise, however, I do think they name should be changed. Thousand-Eyes, in my opinion, should be kept, in which case the Restrict is the part that needs alterations. Revived, perhaps?
