(Greek Myth) My First Archtype help Welcome

Well, I think Olympus is OP, and apart of that I believe it's not much fun to play with "You win the Duel" cards. I liked the XYZ God cards a lot! I think the deck in general is a bit too strong, I mean the effects of some individual monsters may be enough to play them alone, the support from other cards may not be necessary as they already have a nice effect to protect them or to make them powerful enough, I think it may be the deck playing style :O

 

I am not a Yu-Gi-Oh! expert but I enjoy seeing this kind of cards-micro-mythology, I mean after all you are putting a kind of "history" behind these, and it this case the "history" is a mythology that is already "written", a history interpreted by you and set into cards :D yei

There I changed Olympus's effect is that better cause your right i don't like playing with you win the duel cards either and i changed a couple effects for some of the monsters as well. Next i was thinking if do the real Egyptian gods (Horus, Isis, Set, Re(also known as Ra)and so forth) what do you think?

Im trying to make this in to an archtype if ANYONE has ANY advice please let me know for i have never made an archtype before.

 

Was thinking of making the Titans sychro monsters thoughts?

 

Also does anyone know how to organize these so it wont take up so much room

You can sort the cards into different subheadings (e.g. Monsters, Spells, Traps) by using this code [ spoiler=title]content[/spoiler ] (no spaces)

To make your cards feel more like an Archetype, you could try giving all of your monsters corresponding effects, or effects that activate under certain conditions (maybe?)

Anyway, I think these cards are pretty cool :D I made a deck based on Roman/Greek Gods as well ("Golden Heralds"), it would be cool if you could check it out and tell me what you think.

^^^ You see, this guy gets it. The fact that I had to scroll was a complete pain, but you can't blame a newbie for not knowing the code. I didn't even know it until I started up. For better images, look on deviantart, because there are always fanboys and girls that make some pretty epic stuff of gods, or type in the search Custom (God/Hero) Artwork and you might find what you are looking for. As for the set itself, well I've seen just about every kind of god set there is, so there's not really a unique touch to this. That's why every set needs the effect gimmicks, to make it stand out as a whole. (Aliens use counters, Scraps need to be in the grave, etc..) 

 

Your good, in my opinion, but you need to be more original.

You really need to fix the wording on your cards, you should look at the yugioh card making guide to see how card text is written.  Also a bunch of your boss monsters are way too OP, like Kronos's effect. I'm pretty sure every card that skips your opponents next draw phase has been banned because of how powerful that effect is. Also Iapetus is too OP as well, because you get the effect any time he is summoned, so cards like call of the haunted will get his effect off to get ANY monster from the grave to hand, which is pretty broken. Also pegasus has way too much defense for something that requires two generic lvl 4 monsters. Also, for this to be an archetype, you should probably make your cards work together a little better, because most of them just have their own independent effects that don't have anything to do with the "Greek" monster archetype. I hope this helps a little bit.

 

On a side note, you're like the 100th person to make an archetype around the greek gods...

Sorry about Pegasus it wasnt meant to be that high it was meant to to a 2500 DEF forgot to change that. As for Kronos's effect what would you suggest for he is the Titan of Time so what would be a effect that reflects that? As for Iapetus maybe I should reword it so its like Magical Stone Excavation only with monsters instead of spell cards? Also I dont care if i was the 1000000th one to make a Greek god archetype Im into history so I made a deck that reflects that.

I didn't expect so many cards, I couldn't read through all them, but Greek God Hermes caught my eye and his effect seems a little wierd since he's a level 3 monster, which can be normal summoned, and has an effect to special summon him if don't have any monsters. I know this increases your monster count on the field, but I don't think a level 3 monster should have such an effect :neutral:

Have you ever heard of the Six Samurai? If you havent look up Elder of the Six Samurai and you'll see that level three's can have that ability. And as for having many cards i originally only wanted the Heroes, Gods and Titans for this deck but i added the monsters because it was to limited and need to add more particularly needed tuners for the Titans as they were Sychro monsters and my orginal build had no turners in it, but than I thought that i could just add a few monsters from Greek myth just for the sake of adding turners so i added a bunch of other monster as well. But i also didnt add many other monsters from the Myths.

In fact I do run out of Ideas for a lot actually most of my effects are based off of existing cards with their effects changed a little to fit the card itself (example A Chimera in Greek myth has three heads so its effect is that it can attack up to three time in one turn, but to balance it out i made it have a lower attack and made it so it couldnt attack directly.), only a few are original as far as I know but i my be wrong I'm far from knowing every effect there is.

Well now I've actually read the cards' effects and I must say that I actually like what you've done!
It's nice how actually a lot of monsters have their effects on card as they are in the myths, I really like your work ^_^

Thanks im still working on this deck but now it only spells and traps that need to be added after that some fine tuning here and there and i should be good if you have any ideas they're all ways welcome :)

To input the code is quite straightforward; you literally just type it out in a post [ spoiler=title]content[/spoiler, instead of title you put Monsters or Spells etc. and instead of content you just paste the img code of the card you are uploading.
