Everyone knows that Pendulums are starting to gain popularity thanks to the Qliphoths and their long-awaited TCG release, but Yu-Gi-Oh! is known for creating cards that go back to older archetypes and give them a much-needed boost, so what archetypes would do well with a bit of Pendulum help? Feel free to post your own custom Pendulums for your favorite archetypes, and comment on your peers' works.

 

I'll start off with Hazy Flames.

 

Hazy Flame Skylla
FIRE/Sea Serpent/Pendulum/Level 6/2200 ATK/200 DEF
Red Scale 5 <-> Blue Scale 5

Spell Effect: Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except for FIRE monsters. Once per turn, when you Xyz Summon an Xyz Monster using only FIRE monsters as the Xyz Materials: You can draw 1 card.

Monster Effect: Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. When this card is sent to the Graveyard from being attached to an Xyz Monster you control: You can place it face-up on top of your Extra Deck instead. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card as Xyz Material gains this effect.
● It can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.

 

Hazy Flame Charybdiz
FIRE/Aqua/Pendulum/Level 6/1800 ATK/2000 DEF
Red Scale 7 <-> Blue Scale 7

Spell Effect: Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except for FIRE monsters. Once per turn, when you Xyz Summon an Xyz Monster using only FIRE monsters as the Xyz Materials: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it.

Monster Effect: Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. When this card is sent to the Graveyard from being attached to an Xyz Monster you control: You can place it face-up on top of your Extra Deck instead. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card as Xyz Material gains this effect.
● When it destroys a monster by battle: You can attach the destroyed monster to this card as Xyz Material instead of sending it to the Graveyard.

Umbral Horror Fright

[Level 4/Scale 3/DARK/Fiend/Pendulum/Effect/0/0]

Each time you Pendulum Summon a monster with 0 ATK and/or DEF: Your opponent takes 500 damage for each monster with 0 ATK and/or DEF Pendulum Summoned.

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 "Umbral Horror" monster with 0 ATK and/or DEF from the Graveyard; Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position.

 

 

Umbral Horror Scythe

[Level 4/Scale 5/DARK/Fiend/Pendulum/Effect/0/0]

Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a monster is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: You can make that monster's ATK 0.

When you control 2 or more "Umbral Horror" monsters with 0 ATK and/or DEF, you can Special Summon this card (from the hand.)
