If your opponent activates a card effect during the Battle Phase (except during damage calculation); you can return this card to your Hand.[/spoiler] Almost got 4th place with this guy, with the reveal of Elemental HERO Blazeman, I figured it's time to let Gavan here have the spotlight. You can bring out Shadow Mist and then Dark Law or Dian. Gavan can retreat during the Battle Phase if your opponent activates something like D-Prison (to reuse his summoning effect or just to save him), and serves as a competent EARTH beatstick if need be.
