I always played with Spellcasters and always had a greater affection for "Arcane" and "Arcanite" cards, consequently involving spell counters. I created these cards involving these archetypes and has the most effect types: trigger, condition, continuous and/ or ignition (not necessarily in that order). Temple of the Arcanite Ritual Field Spell Card When a monster(s) is Summoned in your side field: You can Target 1 face-up card that you can place a Spell Counter on; place 1 Spell Counter on that target. Once per turn: You can Reveal a "Arcanite" or "Arcane” monster from your hand and Target 2 "Arcanite" or "Arcane" card in your Graveyard; banish the targets, then draw 1 card. Magic Sage, Arcanite Temple Summoner DARK LV: 2 Spellcaster/tuner ATK: 400/ DEF: 1000 You can discard this card to the Graveyard and Select 1 "Temple of the Arcanite Ritual" from your Deck and activate it. Ellite Guardian of Arcanite Temple #1 EARTH LV: 4 Warrior/ Effect ATK: 0/ DEF: 1400 Cannot be used as a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Material for a Summon. If this card is normal summon when “Temple of the Arcanite Ritual” is on the field; Place 1 Spell Counters on it (MAX. 1), if you do: You can Special Summon 1 "Ellite Guardian of Arcanite Temple #2" in attack position from your Hand or Deck. If this card have a Spell Counter, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. As long as this card remains face-up on the field "Temple of the Arcanite Ritual" cannot be destroyed. This card's Type becomes Spellcaster while it is on the field or in the Graveyard. Ellite Guardian of Arcanite Temple #2 EARTH LV: 4 Warrior/ Effect ATK: 0/ DEF: 1400 Cannot be used as a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Material for a Summon. If this card is normal summon when “Temple of the Arcanite Ritual” is on the field; Place 1 Spell Counters on it (MAX. 1), if you do: You can Special Summon 1 "Ellite Guardian of Arcanite Temple #1" in attack position from your Hand or Deck. If this card have a Spell Counter, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. As long as this card remains face-up on the field "Temple of the Arcanite Ritual" cannot be destroyed. Arcane Veteran LIGHT LV: 5 Spellcaster/ Effect ATK: 1900/ DEF: 1600 You can Special Summon this card from your hand if "Temple of the Arcanite Ritual" is on the field. When this card is special summon: Add 1 "Arcanite" or "Arcane" card from your Deck to Hand. Spellbook Arcane Normal Spell Card If you control a "Arcanite" or "Arcane" monster, destroy 1 card on the field, if you do when "Temple of The Arcanite Ritual" is on the field: You can Reveal 1 "Arcane" or "Arcanite" monster in your hand and Add 1 "Spellbook Arcane" from your deck to hand. You can only activate 1 "Spellbook Arcane" per turn. Arcane Queen LIGHT LV: 8 Spellcaster/ Synchro/ Effect ATK: 2900/ DEF: 2450 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Spellcaster-Type monsters When this card is summon Place 1 Spell Counters on it. Once per turn: You can remove 2 Spell Counters on the field to Target 1 card ; until the end of next turn, that target is unaffected by the effects of other Cards. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect. Comments on the Field Spell Card: • The Field Spell Card becomes essential to the draw power. Makes good combos with the "Guardian Ellite" + "Arcane Barrier" for example. • "Spellbook Star Hall" becomes more efficient with the Field Spell Card + "Spellbook Arcane" for exemple. • Some cards lose their effect when she is not in the field, such as "Arcane Veteran" or "Ellite Guardian". werewolfjedi Posted August 11, 2014 Report Share Posted August 11, 2014 I would prefer the field spell to be more like citadel for a spell counter deck. being a bank is not a bad thing. if you'd like my idea on such a field. I'd give it citadel's banking ability, and say that as long as it as a counter it can't be targeted, (as a way of saying, it's a building, you can't take one small shot and knock down a building, you have to level the entire area.) and if you want it to be card draw, I"d say have it burn counters off itself, I'd say on the 3/1 ratio like library.
