Valkyrus Posted July 26, 2014 Report Share Posted July 26, 2014 This is a series of Spellcaster-Type monsters and Spells that work in a unique way to make use of your dead Spell/Traps and recycle them with the help of the boss monster. So here they are: When this card is Summoned: You can equip any number of Spell & Trap Cards from your hand and Graveyard to this card (the equipped cards' effects are negated). Increase this card's ATK x100 for each card equipped to it. Once per turn, you can return 1 card equipped to this card to your hand; that card cannot be activated the same turn you use this effect. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can send 1 "Cherodei" Card from your Deck to your Graveyard. Once, during either player's turn, while this card is face-up on your side of the field, you can move this card to your Spell & Trap Card Zone and treat it as a Continuous Spell Card with the following effect: Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Cherodei" monster from your Graveyard. When this card is Summoned: You can send 1 face-up Spell or Trap card you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Cherodei" monster from your Deck. This card cannot be Normal Summoned. When you activate a "Cherodei" Spell, Trap or Monster Card Effect, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. During your End Phase, if you did not declare an attack this turn, you can tribute this face-up card: Special Summon 1 level 8 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck. You can control only 1 "Cherodei Shifter" Once per turn: You can send 1 face-up Spell or Trap Card you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. This card cannot be used for an Xyz Summon except for the Xyz Summon of a "Cherodei" Xyz Monster. Excavate the top 3 cards of your Deck and send all "Cherodei" cards to the Graveyard; shuffle the rest into the Deck. Then, if you do, you can destroy cards on the field up to the number of sent "Cherodei" Spell/Trap Cards. Banish 1 face-up level 8 "Cherodei" monster you control to draw 2 cards or 1 level 4 or lower "Cherodei" monster to draw 1 card. Special Summon the banished monster during your next Main Phase 2. You can activate only 1 "Cherodei DD Evasion" per turn. Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. Then, you can Set 1 "Cherodei Sweeper" directly from your Deck. If this card is destroyed by your opponent's card: You can send 1 Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your Graveyard. You can activate only 1 "Cherodei Sweeper" per turn. This card can be activated only if you control no monsters. Special Summon 1 "Cherodei Slayer Token" on your side of the field (Spellcaster-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1800). As long as you control this face-up card, you can send 1 "Cherodei" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to the Graveyard to negate the destruction of a "Cherodei Token" you control. 1 DARK Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can add 1 "Cherodei" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can negate the activation of a Set Spell/Trap Card and destroy it. 2 level 4 "Cherodei" monsters You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card: Increase this card's ATK by 400 until the End Phase. While this card has Xyz Material and while you control a face-up Spell or Trap card, this card cannot be targeted by or destroyed by card effects. 3 level 8 Spellcaster-Type monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can attach any number of Spell/Trap Cards in your Graveyard to this card as Xyz Materials. All face-up monsters your opponent controls lose ATK equal to the number of Xyz Materials attached to this card x300. This card gains 200 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. The art on the cards look really nice, and just the whole set name.."Cherodei". It's got a nice ring to it. Your cards work really well with each other; I like that. I particularly like Kanaleto's effect; it seems to balance out a bit to compensate for its ATK. The only thing that urks me about it is the amount of Xyz Material you can get on it. If one had like, 12 Spell/Trap cards in their Graveyard at the time of the Xyz Summon, their Kanaleto's ATK would be about 7000..the ATK of other monster's would decrease by 1200...that's a lot of a ATK difference..but that's just me thinking outside the box. Cherodei/Charodei is actually a word in my language that means magician/enchanter and thought it sounded cool when romanized. That aside, yeah, Kanaleto is a walking OTK by itself and it's not like the deck couldn't just stall for enough time to send at least 12 Spells/Traps in the Grave....Hmm, yeah, I'll change the ATK gain to 300 per xyz mat. That would mean you'd need all of your deck's Spells/Traps as materials to have it be at 7000 ATK (considering your deck's monster/ ST ratio is about 50:50). Another thing I was wondering about her is if I should make her require 3 mats since 2 level 8's out on the field with this deck is frighteningly easy. anyway, thanks for the feedback again, I'll post the revised Kanaleto and the new Trap by the end of the day Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I still feel like Kanaleto is a little overpowered, because for any spell/trap card in your graveyard, you get a +500 boost on your opponents monsters. Anything above like 4 spell/trap cards makes her extremely powerful. Other than that, I really like your cards, the art is great too. Kanaleto really has been the hardest one to balance for me. At 10 attached spell/traps (since it isn't hard to dump spells/traps in the grave with this deck) it'd have 13 mats (-2600 ATK opponent's monsters; 4900 own attack; ability to do a total of 5200 effect damage...) My final fix for it might be to have opp's monsters lose 300 ATK per material instead of 200; also, gain 200 ATK instead of 300 and do 100 damage instead of 400. At 13 materials it'll be something like this: (-3900 ATK opp's monsters; 3600 own ATK; ability to do a total of 1300 effect damage.) Since most opponent's monsters wouldn't lose 3900 ATK but just have it become 0 instead and the effect damage is the most delicate stat so I made it be the smallest instead. So at 13 mats it wouldn't be able to do more than 4900 damage by itself. Maybe I should add a clause that for it to activate its effects it needs to be the only monster on my side of the field and I cannot control any other monsters while it's on the field.
