Cannot be Special Summoned. When this card is Normal Summoned: Both players draw 1 card and reveal it. If your opponent reveals a Monster Card by this effect: Send it to the Graveyard. If your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card with the same name as a Spell/Trap card revealed by this effect: Tribute this card; negate the activation and effect of that card and destroy it. You can tribute this card; add 1 "Doomcaliber" monster from your Deck to your hand.

One of the singles for my project of turning Doomcaliber into an Archetype. Nobody is replying to my post in Multiple Cards :(

WAY too OP. the strongest lv 4 normal monster is luster dragon 1900/1600. this has only good effects and high ATK/DEF. make him 1800/1500 and it will become a very interesting card.

Uhm, no. The strongest two LV4 vanillas are alexandrite dragon and gene-warped warwolf, both weighing in at 2000 ATK. Plus I can name numerous 1900 ATK effect monsters with much, much more abusable effects than this.

As for the card itself, its alright. The draw power from it is good, though triggering on a NS limits its usefulness a lot. Not a bad thing though, since making it abusable via special summons would be a bad thing. The S/T negation is also nice, as it might come in handy if this card is still in play to hate some backrow, though in all likelyhood that won't happen since you'll be poping this guy to search something better or using it as a mat for something. As well, plenty of decks might actually benefit from sending a monster to the grave (you can give lightsworns a free wulf, for instance), and so that effect may in actuality be a bad thing. The utility of the search is nice, but wasting a NS on it to do so slows whatever deck its in down. Enabling it to be SS'ed would add to the card's utility, since you can special summon it to tutor what you need when you need it and play what you tutored that turn. If you do so though, stick a once per turn clause on the search effect, as otherwise it would be abusable through multiple special summons. Despite what i said above, a slight stat debuff is probably in order since this is a searcher and not a beater. 16-1700 is probably best for its ATK stat.

I never changed the effect. I always had it so it couldn't be Special Summoned.

Anyway, I do know that a lot of decks like monsters to be in the Graveyard, but this wouldn't trigger Wulf since the card is drawn before it is sent, so it is being sent from the hand to the Graveyard. Most of the time though, I would prefer the monster in their Graveyard rather than in their hand. Its first effect is probably a lot more useful against some decks than against others, and I made it so that both players draw a card to make it a more interactive card and to balance it out a bit, since a "draw 1 when Normal Summoned" card is a bit silly.

The reason I gave it the no Special Summon clause is because Doomcaliber Knight has this clause and most cards in the Archetype will too. The stats are also the same as Doomcaliber Knight and all the main-deck monsters will have the same or similar stats. I might tone it down a bit though since there's not really any rule saying the rest of the Archetype has to have the same stats, but then it would need another buff somewhere else, and I want to keep it so that it can't be Special Summoned.
