Hidden World ~ Kaslay

Hello everybody.
This is my first post on Yugioh Cardmaker. I came up with this idea when thinking about the effect of Pendulum cards when destroyed, so I decided to make an archetype that is about locking away your opponent's cards until you can use them for later. Another thing I should say, most of the cards that Special Summon face-ups from the extra make them return to the opponent's hand if they are destroyed, which is one of the weaknesses of the deck, because if your field gets wiped, your opponent suddenly gets back all of his resources. 
I will add cards as I make them to flesh it out, and feel free to throw out some ideas for cards as well. I'm very happy with how the deck turned out.

Magician of the Hidden World
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by banishing 1 WATER monster in your Graveyard and 1 face-up monster from your Extra Deck. You can Tribute this card: Destroy all monsters on the field, and if you do, place those monsters face-up in your Extra Deck.

If this face-down Defense Position card is destroyed, place this card and the attacking monster face-up in your Extra Deck.

Brute of the Hidden World
When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Hidden World" card from your deck to your hand.

Tower Guard of the Hidden World
Banish 2 face-up cards from your Extra Deck: Look at your opponent's hand, then place one card from their hand face-up in your Extra Deck.

Freed, Commander of the Hidden World
Any monster destroyed by battle with this card is placed face-up in your Extra Deck instead of being sent to the Graveyard. You can Tribute this card to target 2 face-up monsters in your Extra Deck: Special Summon them to your side of the field. During the End Phase of this turn, return the targeted monsters to your opponent's hand.

Once per turn, if you control a "Hidden World" monster: You can target 1 card on the field, place that card face-up in your Extra deck. During each of your Standby Phases, pay 500 Life Points or destroy this card.

All WATER monsters gain 200 ATK for each face up card in your Extra Deck Once per turn, you can banish 1 face-up card from your Extra Deck: Draw 1 card.

Hidden Ritual: Frozen Doppelganger

If you control a face-up "Hidden World" monster, target 1 face-up monster in your Extra Deck: Special Summon that monster to your side of the field, and equip this card to that monster. When this card is destroyed, destroy the equipped monster. If the monster this card is equipped to is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: It returns to your opponent's hand.

Hidden Ritual: Avatar Shield
When your opponent declares an attack, if you control a face-up "Hidden World" monster, target 1 face-up monster in your Extra Deck: Special Summon that monster, and if you do, switch the attack target to that monster. During the End Phase of your turn after activation, return that target to your opponent's hand.

1 WATER Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to target 1 card on your opponent's side of the field or Graveyard: Place that target face-up in your Extra Deck.

3 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; add 1 face-up card from your Extra Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can attach 1 card from your Extra Deck to this card as an Xyz Material. If this card is destroyed while it has Xyz Material: Place the Xyz Material face-up in your Extra Deck.

Interesting idea, I think Magician is way too broken though, destroying all monsters on the field with a normal summonable monster is OP, its like having 4 dark holes in your deck, but with the added bonus of sending them to your extra then gaining advantage form your other cards.

i agree with mdoraz. maybe make it: banish 1 water monster from your extra deck? or 2?

nice idea though.

 

I will say that Magician cannot be Normaled, as it has a similar summoning condition to Fenrir, but I do see the point. Hopefully Konami will hit it next format. :D

All jokes aside, I'll find some other edit to the card to balance it out. Thanks for the help!

I'm surprised. This is a rather well done set of cards. One thing I want to say is that Door to the Hidden World needs a slight change:

 

Door to the Hidden World
Once per turn, if you control a "Hidden World" monster: You can target 1 monster on the field, place that monster face-up in your Extra deck. During each of your Standby Phases, pay 500 Life Points or destroy this card.

 

So, that's the one OCG fix. I assume you want it to target Monsters only, but you could very easily make it the "1 card on the field," instead. Otherwise, I do think Io is a bit too strong as she is, because she can basically become Brionac, but the card is sent to the extra deck. Therefore, she might do well with being restricted to "1 "Hidden" Tuner Monster + 1 or more Non-Tuner WATER Monsters."

 

This is a very well done set. I do hope you continue with this kind of quality.

Yeah, Door is a mildly outdated card that I made before I came up with the idea for the Argus boss, so I converted all of the other monsters I made to a similar idea of not just stealing monsters. I must have missed that one. Whoops. 

IMO, I think the "Hidden" Tuner monster sounds better to summon Io, but I like the idea of stealing your opponent's monster and using it to synchro Io to generate more advantage. So I think I'll change it to "1 'Hidden' Tuner Monster + 1 or more Non-Tuner Monsters".
