The Fortune Army - Archetype

Welcome! This is Fortune, my collection of cards involving multiple versions of the surname Fortune. This deck isn't complete yet and I am currently making more cards as I progress. Reviews are appreciated as well as any mistakes you may find please point them out because I'm still kinda new to this thing!

This card can only be summoned by removing from play 5 monster's with "Fortune" in their names form your field or hand.
- This monster is immune to card effects.
- This monster's attack points are determined by the amount of removed from play cards x500.[/spoiler]

You can only summon "Legendary Fortune General Caladbolg" by using the ritual "Fortune - The Greatest Love".
- This card is unaffected by trap cards.
- Whenever this monster destorys a monster in Defense Posistion; your opponent loses 500 Lifepoints.[/spoiler]

- This card is unaffected by Spell Cards

Heads: Remove from play all monsters in your graveyard.
Tails: Pay 2000 Life-points; Add all cards from your discard pile to your deck, shuffle your deck.[/spoiler]

During the Battle Phase: If a monster you control destroys another monster who's ATK is lower than your monster; inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. All monsters on your side of the field that conducted battle are switched to defense position after damage calculation.[/spoiler]

This can only be equipped to a monster with "Fortune" in it's name: the equipped monster's defense points are reduced to 0; Add the monster's original DEF points to it's ATK points.[/spoiler]

Remove from play 2 Warrior-Type Monsters from your graveyard to activate this card.
- All face-up Warrior Type monsters on the field gain 200 ATK and DEF points.

Sacrifice one "Fortune" monster on the field to activate this card: Take the top 5 cards of your deck and look at them; Discard these cards and then take 5 random cards from your discard pile, put them in your deck, shuffle your deck.[/spoiler]

Activate this card from your hand only when you have both: "Legendary Fortune General - Caladbolg" and "Legendary Fortune General - Chate" out on your side of the field:
- You can pay 800 Lifepoints to negate the effect of 1 card and destroy it.
- Gain 100 Lifepoints each turn that this card is on the field.
- You can destroy this card; if you do, gain 2000 Lifepoints.[/spoiler]

- This monster's position cannot be changed by card effects.

THE GODDESS APPROACHES.....

 

The Emperor may be the leader of the Fortune Army. But there is one secret above all that they keep, their first ever ruler, the Warrior of Legend who became a Goddess upon her death. She is the final monster to be added to the deck unless if you guys want me to do more. I am currently trying to work out her effect, I would need some help though, If anyone wants to offer: just post.

 

Fixes:

Fixed Destined Fortune Love's Grammar to say where you can activate it from.

Hard to tell what the theme is (effect and look), it seems like it burns but also seems like it is just supposed to beat down and protect your monsters.

Monsters- Some are much too easy to summon (Caladbolg and Chate, see dragon rulers), and others are underpowered (Doublecrosser and Princep costing 2 discards).

S/T- Every Trap except 1 is a Counter Trap when some don't need to be, and the same for the Quick-Play Spells.

OCG is all over the place, making some cards summonable from anywhere. I suggest rethinking what you want the deck to do, and looking at similar real cards and using their wording to improve your cards' text. Using composers is something I have not seen before, they piece together music so maybe Crystal Beast it and make a Field Spell that gets stronger with the more Fortune monsters you have summoned/banished/graved.

Hmmm... After looking at my deck my effects seem to be all over the place! And you do have a very good point some cards are under-powered I should buff them. As for Caladbolg and Chate I think making the cost a bit higher would do... Maybe say 3, 4 Cards? I'm not sure as of yet. Also yes I just realized that every trap card except 2 are a counter trap, I have a lot of fixing to do indeed!

Thank you for pointing these out, but I'm not sure where to begin...

And what do you mean by Crystal Beasting? The field spell sounds nice.

REWORKING....

 

Changed alot of cards:

Fortune Princep: New Stats and New Effect

Fortune Doublecrosser: New Effect

Legendary Fortune Soldier - Chate and Caladbolg: Made into Ritual Monsters.

 

 

Trap Cards:

Red Lotus of Fortune: New Effect is now a quickplay.

Warpath: Now a Continuous: New Effect.

 

Spell Cards:

Added a new Ritual! Fortune - The Greatest Love
