Lost Realm: Shangri-La

It's Monday again and I thought I would post another card up, so here it is:

"Lost Realm: Shangri-La"

Effect: Increase the ATK and DEF of all Normal Monsters by 400. When this card is sent to the Graveyard or banished by a card effect, you can Tribute one Normal Monster instead to negate the effect and either send the card with the effect to the Graveyard or banish it. This effect can only be used once per turn. If this card is in the Graveyard, you can banish it to Draw 1 Card. This effect can only be used once per turn while in your Graveyard.

 

I don't know if it would look better without "Lost Realms: " attached to this card, but I don't know. Thanks and please comment!

Well, I'd go with something awesome sounding like "Lost Kingdom of Shangri-La," myself XD

Anyhow, Normal Monster support has always been interesting to me, and this one is the "Magical Citadel of Endymion" of Normal support. It's got versatility and a fairly balanced effect: at base, a Field Spell with a noticeable boost (particularly with Normal Monsters, as their forte), keeps itself alive, and even has a secondary Graveyard effect. But to be able to use the card in the first place, you'd have to use a lot of vanillas in the first place, which is a huge tradeoff all on its own. While I'm unsure of Shangri-La's relevance to vanillas, I do think that the card can keep a Normal deck afloat.

Moving on to OCG Fixes, I'd word it something like this:
Increase the ATK and DEF of all Normal Monsters by 400. Once per turn, when this card would leave the field: You can Tribute 1 Normal Monster instead [the banishment and destruction effect is kinda superfluous, considering negation would cover the majority of cards anyway]. At the start of your Standby Phase [or whatever portion of time you feel is best]: You can banish this card from the Graveyard; draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect of "Lost Realm: Shangri-La" once per duel.
