Snowpea
I want to make an archetype that revolves around Spellcaster monsters with lackluster atk, but decent effects, and mostly activating spell cards from the graveyard that reduce the opponent's monsters' atk, so they can run over them. The most useful spell would be one that activates archetype-specific spell cards from the graveyard: Elsarin Ritual Effect: Activate 1 "Elsari" Spell card from your graveyard except "Elsarin Ritual". The question I have is, would the spell cards be placed on the field again, or would the effects activate in the graveyard? I wanted continuous spell cards to be the main focus, which is why I'd want them to be placed on the field. I don't think the effect I wrote would work the way I'd want it to. Is there a way I can re-word it so it does, or is this just a mechanic that won't see the light of day?
richbonner93
Been a few months since I've been on the forums. Anyway, there are a few things that need to be stated about Elsarin Ritual, like the card type (Monster/Spell/Trap) and other qualities that pertain to it's card type. But, just focusing on the effect that is written here. I think I know where you're going with this, but it should probably be worded more along the lines of: Target 1 "Elasri" Spell card in your Graveyard except "Elasrin Ritual": Place it face-up in your Spell & Trap card Zone (the card is activated). Or along the lines of: Target 1 "Elsari" Spell card in your Graveyard except "Elsarin Ritual": This card's effect is the same as the effect of the targeted card. Hopefully this will help you :)
