narrat0r
Alright, so I don't usually go about making bizarrely overpowered cards, but I had an odd idea today. A card that's primarily used as a last resort, if you have the means to defend your monsters for two turns. In the end, I'm not sure if this turned out too overpowered or completely useless, so I want some thoughts on these. Also, I tried finding some kind of a "lifeforce-gathering" picture for Lifestream Siphon but had no luck, so if anyone can help me out with that, it would be nice. Anyway, here are the cards: LIFESTREAM SIPHON Target monsters on your side of the field whose total levels equal 12 or more. These monsters cannot be destroyed by battle. During your second Standby Phase after this card's activation, banish this card and the targeted monsters to Special Summon "Lifebane Enkyros" from your hand or Deck. If one of the targeted monsters is destroyed while this card is face-up on the field, destroy this card and all other targeted monsters. If this card is destroyed while face-up on the field, destroy all targeted monsters. LIFEBANE ENKYROS Can only be summoned by the effect of "Lifestream Siphon". This card's summon and effect cannot be negated, and it cannot be used as a tribute for a Tribute Summon. While this card is face-up on the field, effects of all other cards are negated. When this card is summoned, destroy all cards on your opponent's side of the field. If the opponent's Life Points aren't 0 by the End Phase of the turn in which this card was summoned, you lose the duel. As you can see, Lifestream Siphon is used to Summon that nerd down there. Basically, in the turn he appears on the field, you either win or lose. Advantages to this are overcoming annoying stall decks and such, as you will most likely have several Level 6+ monsters that you'll want to use for charging Lifestream Siphon, and annihilating the field once Enkyros gets out, after which you're completely free to inflict direct damage. Even better is that there's still space for a Normal Summon in the same turn, so you're guaranteed to deal at least 3000 damage. This can also be helpful for a comeback against beatdown decks, as Siphon prevents the targeted monsters from being destroyed in battle. The downsides are pretty obvious... one MST or Black Hole (or pretty much anything that destroys a card on the field) can break the Siphon charge and destroy all that goes along with it. Also, the problem comes from the opponent having more Life Points than the amount of direct damage you can inflict in the turn Enkyros is summoned... in which case, you're pretty much screwed. I feel like there could be good potential in these cards, so does anyone have any tips on how they could be improved?
richbonner93
Seems to be pretty well balanced overall. Just some capitalization and colon/semi-colon errors in the OCG. Enkyros seems to be a little OP and UP at the same time: OP because it blows up your opponent's field, but UP because you gotta go balls to the wall and make sure they go down this turn. I really like the idea of the "Life-" cards. Maybe you can make a set or we could collaborate? Cause I have a few ideas for you for a potential archetype/set. roeyba
Very nice! I'd suggest Siphon being able to target only level 4 or lower monsters though... If those cards were real, I'd use them (unless they be the new shaddolls which everybody use, then it's no fun).

I actually only had these two in mind, but an archetype around this seems like a neat idea, I'd go about it. Very nice! Hm, I thought of something similar, but then I figured a lot more monsters would be needed for charging the Siphon if that was the case; meaning Enkyros would most likely be the only monster on the field when he appears.
