Shadow_Gadget
My first foray into card creation, so criticism is appreciated. The idea behind this was to create a set of weaker monsters that combine into stronger monsters, while also interchanging cards from banishment and the graveyard, so as to modify strategies based on the duel.

"When summoned, if there are no other cards in your hand or field (except Gadget Warrior #1), you can special summon up to 4 Level 4 or lower Gadget monsters from your main deck. You cannot conduct your battle phase if you use this effect, and you must skip your next draw phase."

"If special summoned due to a card effect; you can draw one card. If that card is a monster, discard it to the graveyard."

"If summoned by card effect from your deck, choose one of the following effects to apply: -Draw 2 cards. -Send 2 cards from the top of your deck to the graveyard."

"When this card is Normal Summoned: You can send 1 "Gadget" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; this card gains that monster's effects. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 monster sent to the Graveyard by this card's effect; Special Summon that target in face-up Attack Position."

"You can special summon this card in face up defense position (from your hand). This card cannot change battle position if summoned this way, and must return to the hand if any monster declares an attack. Once per turn, if there is another Gadget monster on the field, you can select 1 card from your graveyard with the word "Gadget" in it, and return it to your to your deck."

"This card's attack is the number of Gadget monsters in your graveyard x200. Once per turn, you can select one of the following effects; -You can shuffle one Gadget monster from your graveyard to deck. -You can send one Gadget monster from your hand or field to your graveyard."

"Must be Special Summoned by a "Gadget" card effect and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned: Double this card's original ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can activate one of these effects: - Target 1 of your Banished "Gadget" monsters; move that target to the Graveyard - Target 1 "Gadget" monster in your Graveyard; Banish that target."

"You can special summon this card (from your hand) by discarding all others cards in your hand to the graveyard. It gains 300 ATK for each Gadget monster sent when summoned this way. Once per turn, you can select one Level 6 or lower Gadget monster in your graveyard; banish that target, and this card gains ATK and DEF equal to that of the banished monster."

"If this card is in your hand, if a "Gadget" monster in your control was destroyed by Battle during your opponent's last Battle Phase: You can target that monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon this card, and if you do, this card gains ATK and DEF equal to half the ATK and DEF of that target. During your opponent's Main Phase 2, if this card was Summoned by its own effect: You can target the card that this card targeted; Banish this card, and if you do, Special Summon that target."

"Can only be summoned by tributing 5 Gadget monsters you control, and cannot be summoned by any other means. When summoned, you can choose to banish any number of Gadget monsters from your graveyard; This card gains 500 ATK/DEF for each card removed. Once per turn, you can select one card in your graveyard: Add that target to your hand. If you do so, apply one of the following effects: -If the targeted card is a monster, you can choose to banish it and gain LP equal to half of the target's ATK. Otherwise, add it to your hand. -If the targeted card is a Spell/Trap, you can choose to banish it; Select one set Spell/Trap your opponent controls, and destroy it. Otherwise, add it to your hand."

"Must be Ritual Summoned, and cannot be summoned by any other ways. If there are any monsters in your graveyard that don't have "Gadget" in their names, destroy this card. When this card is summoned, place one Omega counter on it (max 1). During your turn, you can remove an Omega counter on this card and select one Gadget monster in your graveyard (except Gadget Omega); Destroy all cards on the field (at the time of activating this effect) during your opponent's End Phase, and if you do so, add the targeted monster to your hand. This card must remain on the field in order to activate this effect. There can only be one "Gadget Omega" on the field."

"Must be Ritual Summoned and cannot be summoned by any other means. Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects: -You can target up to 2 Gadget monsters that have been banished, and add those targets to their respective decks. Each player draws cards equaling the number of cards returned from this effect. -You can tribute this card to banish all spell/trap cards currently on the field; If you activate this effect, special summon this card from the graveyard during your opponent's End Phase. You can only activate one of these effects per turn, and only once that turn."

"This card can be used to Ritual Summon "Gadget Omega", or "Gadget Alpha". You must also banish "Gadget" monsters from your Graveyard whose Levels Equal 10 or more for the Ritual Summon of "Gadget Omega". You must also return Banished "Gadget" monsters to your Graveyard whose Levels Equal 10 or more for the Ritual Summon of "Gadget Alpha". This card's activation and effect cannot be negated."

"Equip this card to a Machine-type monster. During the battle phase, it loses exactly 500 ATK, but cannot be destroyed by battle. If the equipped monster changes battle positions, destroy this card. When this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, you can select 1 Level 3 or lower Machine-type monster in your graveyard; add that target to your hand."

"Whenever a Gadget monster you control destroys another monster by battle, it can make a second attack, but loses half its ATK till the End Phase. If any Gadget monsters you control do not attack while this card is face-up, destroy them during your End Phase."

"Equip only to a Gadget monster you control. When the equipped monster attacks or is attacked, it gains half the ATK of the monster it battles until the End Phase. If the equipped monster changes battle position, destroy this card. If this card is destroyed, destroy the equipped monster as well."

"You can only activate this card when you control exactly one Machine-type monster. Select one Machine-type monster you control; It gains 300 ATK for every other face-up card on the field until the End Phase."

"Can only be activated when there are 10 or more Gadget monsters in your graveyard. You must control one Gadget monster in order to activate and resolve this effect. Select 2 cards that you control, and 2 cards your opponent controls; Banish those cards."

My biggest concern is balancing cards and abilities, so any suggestions to correct any problems I haven't seen are greatly appreciated. LeLukeX
Gadget Warrior #1 That's one hell of a topdeck. Still, I think you balanced it out. #2 Good effect. Even though the discard, it's good, decent, and I like it. # 3 Hey I'm a bit weary about Machine Duplication. That's a draw 4... Make some restriction. Like once per turn effect or something at least. #4 Burial and SS's when Sent. Awesome effect. Make those once per turn though. There can be a lot of abuse with this guy if the card he sends can SS him from grave... then he can send the same exact copy. Cards that search, dump, draw, and SS should always be once per turn. #5 This guy is BROKEN. I mean legit broken... Did you accidentally give it an effect that good? First off, level 4 and can SS itself from hand, Goodbye any deck that used Photon Thrasher for that (now they have this guy). Also... Seriously... Recycle 3!!!! Change it either to return to Deck or only allow to add 1. He'd be banned. #7 (Skipped 6, it's the next one) Weak... Well maybe that's b/c I just read #5. You should make the from Graveyard to add instead of banish. #6 Very Weak. Negging yourself for no reason... I don't like #8 This guy can be used in Fabled. And I'm pretty sure he can be used very well... He has too much hand control Vanguard Make him a quick effect. That would make him really really good and still balanced. Making him ignition slows him down a lot. Commander This sux. No protection, no destruction, no SS'ing, NO NOTHING!!! Nobody would use this. Any trap card will take him down and you deserve to get hit by like Breakthrough Skill if you tribute 5 monsters for this crap. Give him protection and some other neato effects. Omega Erase his entire effect and try again. B/c it's bad and weak. Removing his Omega counter should destroy all cards on the field with the restrictions and limitations you gave him. Alpha Remove the fact he has to banish himself for the Heavy Storm effect. He's a boss monster why would he banish himself to get rid of a few backrow wtf? Put a cap on the draw (no more than 2 cards sounds fair). Planet at the Center of Time Oh my god. You can't tribute cards, except on field or in hand. Here is the closest I can think of for your effect: "This card can be used to Ritual Summon "Gadget Omega", or "Gadget Alpha". This card's activation and effect cannot be negated." The reason I threw the last part in was because putting that effect (which you did) on the ritual monsters does nothing since you cant negate their Summon anyways, they aren't inherent. Only the Ritual Spell can be negated. Command Center Terrible. Dealing Piercing Damage is not worth this card's drawback. Making it unaffected during the dmg step is so bad. Cards activated in the DMG step can either be activated before teh dmg step to avoid this card (Like Lance and Shrink) or Affect not yours, but the opponent's monster (Honest). So that effect is useless. Failure It's a bad card. Equips are supposed to help you, not force your monster to do things it doesn't want to do. At least it has the recycle effect, that kind of makes up for it (not really). Advance This one is good b/c you have a lot of Field and graveyard control with it with an additional extra atk. Btw is it an Equip? It's showing up as a Normal Spell. Longshot Lots of Drawbacks, but Defintely good effect. You should give it an effect when it is destroyed. Shot in the Dark Remove the part where you must control exactly 1 Machine dude. Much better :D Unified Force (aka Booty Girl) Weak effect, you are asking for 10 Gadgets in Grave, 1 on field, and remove 2 of your own Gadgets... Get like a draw 1 effect of banish 3 cards opp controls Against all Odds Dude read Mirror Force and then Read Widespread Ruin and tell me why You'd use this situational card over those. Lurking Oh my god. During your Standby. Must control 2... Destroy just 1 card... Unless opp pays LP? How about Control just one... Forget a phase restriction. And remove the part where opp can pay LP instead Okay I'm done reading the traps. They suck. Magic Cylinder, Dimensional Prison, Mirror Force, Compulsory, Waboku EVEN ALL OUTDO your "Support". Do you know what happens when Konami makes cards that are worse than Generic cards? Nobody uses them. You have to make both your Equips and Trap way better. Some of your monsters were way too good and I mentioned that.
Shadow_Gadget
I agree with you on the Commander parts, include his Equip. They were some of the earlier drafts that I started with, so it's not suprising they're not the greatest. What I'm not clear about is why the Commander sucks though. He can banish any number of Gadgets in the grave, and gain 500 for each, meaning if played later on in the duel, or chained correctly, he can easily get ATK up around 3000. He can even start with 2500, based on his summoning. I didn't want to add any more effects, based on just how powerful he can get. What would be a better way to do it then? Similar story with #6, since he can increase ATK each turn by sending people to the grave. I don't follow how he's "very weak". Can you elaborate on what you mean? On #8, is that a good thing or a bad thing? You're using terms I'm not really familiar with. Moving over to spells, no, Advance is continuous. Been having issues with the creator not showing certain parts of cards for whatever reason. As for the Planet Ritual card, thanks. I've had some trouble really understanding how to phrase certain things, and I certainly don't understand the whole heirarchy order of effects, i.e. inherent over stated. I'll work on rewriting what's been suggested, and just drop the traps altogether.
LeLukeX
If you want to make Commander Better, don't ask for five tributes lol. 2, 3 MAX... (No, actually just 2). Yugioh has way more powerful stuff than commander and easier to SS (Example: Black Luster Soldier. Banish 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK from Grave. Can ATK Twice or Banish 1 Card on the field. 3000 ATK) For #6. Firstly have to have at least 8 Gadgets in that Graveyard to have a decent 1600... 8 Gadgets is a lot... Especially in your Deck that constantly Banishes them. And he's bad b/c he does nothing for YOU, all he does is send to help boost himself. A good Yugioh card helps you (draw, add, search, somehow harm the opponent), not ask for resources from you so that it can have some ATK/DEF. The recycle effect is decent, but conflicts with his ATK boost. Ignore what I said about #8 and Fabled. I don't think Fableds would use him. And yes hand control is a good thing. It can help trigger #1 if you use things correctly. Your effects are actually really easy to word they are very simple I can do that for you if you'd like: #1 When this card is Summoned: You can Special Summon up to 4 Level 4 or lower "Gadget" monsters from your Deck and skip your next Draw Phase. You must control no other cards and have no cards in your hand to activate and to resolve this effect. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. #2 If this card is Special Summoned by a card effect: You can draw 1 card and reveal it, and if it is a monster card, discard it to the Graveyard. #3 If this card is Special Summoned by a card effect: You can activate 1 of these effects: -Draw 2 cards. -Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard. #4 When this card is Normal Summoned: You can send 1 "Gadget" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; this card gains that monster's effects. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 monster sent to the Graveyard by this card's effect; Special Summon that target in face-up Attack Position. #5 You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. If Summoned this way, it cannot change its battle position and if a monster declares an attack: Return this card to the hand. Once per turn: You can target up to 3 "Gadget" cards in your Graveyard; add those targets to your hand. NOTE: You can activate his effect once during the MP1 and a second time during the MP2 since he bounces himself from your monster's attacks as well. #6 This card gains 200 ATK for each "Gadget" monster in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can activate one of these effects: - Target 1 "Gadget" monster in your Graveyard; shuffle that target into the Deck. - Send 1 "Gadget" monster you control or from your hand to the Graveyard. #7 Must be Special Summoned by a "Gadget" card effect and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned: Double this card's original ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can activate one of these effects: - Target 1 of your Banished "Gadget" monsters; move that target to the Graveyard - Target 1 "Gadget" monster in your Graveyard; Banish that target. #8 You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by discarding all cards in your hand to the Graveyard. If this card is Summoned this way: It gains 300 ATK for each "Gadget" discarded by this effect. Once per turn: You can target 1 Level 6 or lower "Gadget" monster in your Graveyard; banish that target, and if you do, this card gain ATK and DEF equal to the ATK and DEF of the banished target. Vanguard If this card is in your hand, if a "Gadget" monster in your control was destroyed by Battle during your opponent's last Battle Phase: You can target that monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon this card, and if you do, this card gains ATK and DEF equal to half the ATK and DEF of that target. During your opponent's Main Phase 2, if this card was Summoned by its own effect: You can target the card that this card targeted; Banish this card, and if you do, Special Summon that target. Damn, this was a HARD monkey to word. Commander Cannot be Normal Summoned (but can be Normal Set). Must be Special Summoned by Tributing 5 "Gadget" monsters and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Summoned: You can banish any number of "Gadget" monsters from your Graveyard; this card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each card banished by this effect. Omega Must be Ritual Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If you have a monster in your Graveyard that is not a "Gadget" monster, destroy this card. When this card is Summoned: Place 1 "Omega" counter on this card (max. 1). Once per turn: You can remove 1 "Omega" counter from this card and target 1 card on the field; during your opponent's next End Phase, destroy that target. Alpha Must be Ritual Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: activate 1 of these effects: -Target any number of Banished "Gadget" monsters; shuffle those targets into the Deck, then both players draw 1 card for each card shuffled into the Deck by this effect. -Banish this card; destroy all Spell/Trap cards on the field. You can only use 1 "Gadget Alpha" effect per turn, and only once that turn. Already did the Ritual Spell Must be equipped to a Machine-Type monster. During the Battle Phase: the equipped monster loses exactly 500 ATK, and if it does, it cannot be destroyed by battle. If the equipped monster changes its Battle Position: Destroy this card. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 Level 3 or lower Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. NOTE: The battle destruction protection effect is permanent even if leaves the field. That's the way you worded it. In addition, since it's mandatory, the effect to reduce by 500 ATK will activate until your monster has 0 ATK on the first BP. This should have been made once per turn. Advance When a "Gadget" monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle: That monster can make a second attack, and if it does, it will lose half its ATK until the End Phase. During your End Phase: Destroy all face-up "Gadget" monsters that did not declare an attack this turn. Longshot Must be equipped to a "Gadget" monster you control. If the equipped monster attacks or is attacked: It gains ATK equal to half the attack of opponent's monster it is battling. If the equipped monster changes its battle position: Destroy this card. Note: You made the attack Gain permanent. You didn't imply somehow until the dmg step was over or EP at all. In addition, Equip Spells are ALWAYS destroy by default if they leave the field, no longer become a correct equip target (changing it's name to a non-Gadget somehow would do this), or are flipped face down. Shot in the Dark Activate only if you control exactly 1 Machine-Type monster. Target 1 Machine-Type monster you control; it gains 300 ATK for each face-up card currently on the field, except this card. Note: Also permanent boost. Booty Girl Activate only if you have 10 or more "Gadget' monsters in your Graveyard. Target 2 cards you control and 2 cards your opponent controls; Banish those targets. You must control a face-up "Gadget" monster to activate and to resolve this effect.
Shadow_Gadget
Quote So for cards like Shot and the Equip, how would I word it so their effects either last till EP or when the card is destroyed? Also, I think I understand what you meant by instance in regards to Vanguard, so I'll use that wording for it. My main concern when making cards like #6 and Commander was that adding more effects could make them too powerful. I've updated the majority of the cards, except Unified Force, which I really just want to look at redoing.

Your newer and updated text words it perfectly, although outdated (before PSCT) in the way you want. If you were to release the Deck as is 95% of users using your deck would use like half the cards, and never touch the other half. Which is fine, almost all decks knoami make are like that due to power creep. The archtype as is, is fine. Good job.
