Intelligent Apes Rise! (Genesis Ape Archetype)

So yeah um. Been a while since I last posted here. But here is a new archetype I'm working on. This archetype is actually influenced by the Rise of the Planet of the Apes series of movies. (Specifically Rise and Dawn). For those wishing to play test this archetype I would love to see how you could make the deck. Send me pictures or video of your builds and/or duels with these guys. I really wanna know how well they work. But on to the archetype! Basically the Genesis Apes, at first glance, are just regular apes that have different effects. But if a certain card is out they become super-intelligent apes. Introducing the Evolved Beast and Evolved Beast-Warrior Types. These Types are exclusive to this archetype. So here are the cards. Originally I wanted to submit these to Realistic but due to the custom Type I am unable. I would still like to have these reviewed though as if this was a Realistic Card post.

[spoiler/Lore]When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Normal Summon/Set 1 "Genesis Ape" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)
If "Planet of the Genesis Apes" is on the field, this card becomes an Evolved Beast-Type monster and you can gain the above effect twice per turn, also this card gains this effect.
- All "Genesis Ape" monsters you control become Level 5.[/spoiler]

[spoiler/Lore]When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Genesis Ape" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Brawler of the Genesis Apes" once per turn.
If "Planet of the Genesis Apes" is on the field, this card becomes an Evolved Beast-Warrior-Type monster, also add this additional effect.
- You can also Special Summon 1 "Genesis Ape" monster from your Deck.[/spoiler]

[spoiler/Lore]FLIP: Target 1 "Genesis Ape" monster in your Graveyard: Special Summon that target. You can only use this effect of "Spy of the Genesis Apes" once per turn. These changes last until the end of your next turn.
If "Planet of the Genesis Apes" is on the field, this card becomes an Evolved Beast-Type monster and you can activate the above effect twice per turn, also this card gains this effect.
- Cannot be destroyed by battle while in Defense Positon. During either player's turn: You can switch this card to face-down Defense Position.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

[spoiler/Lore]Send 1 "Genesis Ape" monster with an original Level from your hand to the Graveyard: Draw cards equal to half that monster's original Level (rounded down). You can only activate 1 "Genesis Ape Plus" per turn.[/spoiler]

[spoiler/Lore]When this card is activated: Put 1 ZLA Counter on all monsters on the field (these Counters stay even if this card leaves the field). All monsters on the field lose 300 ATK for each ZLA Counter on them, except for "Genesis Ape" monsters. All "Genesis Ape" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK for each ZLA Counter on them (Both of these changes apply even when this card leaves the field.) When this card leaves the field: Add 1 "Dawn of the Genesis Apes" from your Deck to your hand.[/spoiler]

During each End Phase: Put 1 ZLA Counter on all monsters on the field. All monsters on the field lose 300 ATK for each ZLA Counter on them, except for "Genesis Ape" monsters. All "Genesis Ape" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK for each ZLA Counter on them (Both of these changes apply even when this card leaves the field.) If a monster's ATK becomes 0 by this card's effect, destroy that monster. When 5 or more monsters have been destroyed by this effect: Send this card to the Graveyard and activate 1 "Planet of the Genesis Apes" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.[/spoiler]

Once per turn, this card cannot leave the field by card effects. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Genesis Ape" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. During each End Phase: Put 2 ZLA Counters on all monsters on the field. All monsters on the field lose 400 ATK for each ZLA Counter on them, except for "Genesis Ape" monsters. All "Genesis Ape" monsters on the field gain 200 ATK for each ZLA Counter on them (Both of these changes apply even when this card leaves the field.) If a monster's ATK becomes 0 by this card's effect, negate the effects of that monster and destroy it. [/spoiler][/spoiler]

[spoiler/Lore]When this card is activated: Target any number of "Genesis Ape" monsters in your Graveyard; Special Summon those targets in face-up Defense Position. If this card is destroyed, destroy all monsters Special Summoned by this card. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn you activate this card, also destroy those monsters during the End Phase. If this card is destroyed, destroy all monsters Special Summoned by this card.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from it and target 1 Beast-Type or Beast Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard: Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position. That monster cannot change its battle position until the end of your next turn.[/spoiler]

Must first be Xyz Summoned. When this card is Xyz Summoned: Add 1 "Genesis Ape" card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and target 1 "Genesis Ape" monster you control: Its Type becomes Enhanced Beast-Type or Enhanced Beast Warrior-Type (your choice), and gains its effects as if "Planet of the Genesis Apes" were on the field.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

This is awesome; a new type. I wonder what could arise from Evolved Beasts.
Maybe you could add in a subliminal card based on Plague Inc.s version of this, since the update was added recently. Perhaps you could make the Plague itself a card, or other plagues into cards.


I have the update actually. Simian Flu is not easy, I'll tell ya that. But on topic now. I got the idea of what the apes were called in the movies, Evolved Apes. I chose to do the same with Beast and Beast-Warrior, and thus Evolved Beast and Evolved Beast-Warrior were born! But I did actually put in the plague, the Genesis Ape Spell Cards all represent the Simian Flu. Genesis Ape Plus represents the apes increase in intelligence, Rise of the Genesis Apes is the start of the infection of the Simian Flu and when apes get stronger and other's get weaker (hence why the ZLA Counters make the Genesis Apes stronger, and non-Genesis Ape monsters weaker), Dawn of the Genesis Apes is when it actually starts killing, hence the whole monster being destroyed thing when it's been fully weakened, and Planet of the Genesis Apes shows that the Apes have fully taken over and that the "virus" (the Field Spell) kills faster and gives a lot of buffs, especially unlocking the hidden effects of the Genesis Apes, as well as changing their Type to what ever is listed on the card. The Trap Cards don't have any relation to the virus, but they do have relation to sayings from the movies. (Evolution is Revolultion being one of them, it's Trap Card is Revolution of Evoltion). So there's a bit of fun Trivia about my archetype (other than the monsters).
