Goose
Not entirely. Basically what I mean is, there are many people (At least around where I live) who will stick to one political party and vote for them, even if they don't really know much about what the specific person believes and will do. Plus, being a Republican/Democrat/etc. politician doesn't mean you have all the same ideas as the others in your party. Low information voter competency is an actual thing people study. I'll report back in December when I've actually learnt about it, but from what I know, just the party label is generally more than sufficient for voters to make smart decisions. Agro
It doesn't help that the system is set up to end up in a two party system where you don't actually get to vote for what you agree with, just one of two very different choices that somewhat resembles your opinions on likely only several things. Also Finnish is cool because it's virtually impossible to translate into English. They have like 8 different ways to say happy and each one means a different thing. That's pretty cool to me. Goose
Yeah Duvergers law and such. But the two party system helps maintain stability (maybe)
