Idea was to have the little guys bring out Extra Deck guys who worked with the Spells/Traps to keep field control long enough for the big guys to drop. [spoiler=Effect Monsters (7)] Chaos Food/Alternative Searcher [spoiler=effect] Elysian Eagle Level 4 Wind Winged Beast Tuner If a LIGHT or DARK monster would banish a monster(s) from your Graveyard, you can banish this card from your Graveyard or face-up Extra Deck instead. You can pay 500 LP and place this card face-up in your Extra Deck; Special Summon 1 "Elysian" monster from your Deck or face-up Extra Deck, except "Elysian Eagle". If that monster has a Rank or Level that is 5 or higher, its effects are negated and it cannot attack this turn. You can only use 1 "Elysian Eagle" effect per turn, and only once that turn. [/spoiler] Brings out Xyzs [spoiler=effect] Elysian Envoy - Valinia Level 3 LIGHT Fairy Tuner Cannot be banished, except by an "Elysian" card's effect. You can pay 1000 LP; Special Summon 1 Rank 3 or 4 "Elysian" Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck and attach this card to it as an Xyz Material. It cannot be Tributed, attack your opponent directly, or be used as a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Material for a Summon. You can only use this effect of "Elysian Envoy - Valinia" once per turn. [/spoiler] Searcher/Synchro/Xyz Playmaker [spoiler=effect] Elysian Envoy - Monops Level 3 DARK Fiend Cannot be banished, except by an "Elysian" card's effect. You can pay 500 LP; Special Summon this card (from your hand). If there is no other face-up "Elysian" monster on your side of the field, destroy this card. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Elysian" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Elysian Envoy - Monops". You can only use this effect of "Elyisan Envoy - Monops" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Soul Harvest" per turn. [/spoiler] Archetype Specific Mask Change [spoiler=effect] Flash Reaping Quick-Play Spell Target 1 face-up "Elysian" monster you control; send it to the Graveyard, then Special Summon 1 "Elysian" monster from your Extra Deck with a different Attribute than the "Elysian" monster had when it was on the field. [/spoiler] JD T_T [spoiler=effect] The End of Elysium Normal Spell (This card is always treated as an "Elysian" card.) If you control "Elysium": Pay 2000 LP, then target 2 "Elysian" monsters in your Graveyard and 2 of your banished "Elysian" monsters; banish the first targets, also, place the second targets face-up in your Extra Deck, and if you do, destroy all cards on the field. When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, while you control a face-up "Elysian" Synchro, Fusion, or Xyz Monster: Pay 1000 LP; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. [/spoiler] Used to be very bad. Might still be bad. Helps Chaos Decks and is Anti-Macro/D-Fissure for Dark Worlds and Lightsworns. [spoiler=effect] Through Command Continuous Trap When a LIGHT or DARK monster(s) would be banished instead of being sent to the Graveyard OR from the Graveyard, you can return it to its owner's Deck instead, and if you do, you can activate the appropriate effect, based on the Attribute(s) of the monster(s). + LIGHT: Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard. + DARK: Discard 1 card. LeLukeX Posted September 8, 2014 Report Share Posted September 8, 2014 Firstly, I just wanted to mention you have a lot of mechanics going on (one of which being completely original, you know which I'm talking about). It's very difficult to make Decks with as many mechanics are you did without making them ridiculously hard to get their playsylte started or without making them ridiculously broken. But I playtested your Deck out using proxy but just drawing sample hands. And the Deck is both balanced and doesn't take horribly long set up times. So I think you did a great job. Now to analyze each card: Valina The effect to Special Summon an Xyz monster should be once per turn IMO, in case of mass summoning multiple copies of this card. This card can pull of an Eve search right away or get a free Draw from Cassius (given you have a Elysian in your Grave to start out). Really great and balanced card b/c you put cannot attack directly. Monops The effect to Special Summon itself is great, but you balanced it with destroying itself if you don't have Elysian so it's great b/c it helps your deck while not allowing abuse of others. I'm worried about Tour Guide, TGU can summon this card, Xyz and instantly Trigger the Search effect. That is an OP play IMO. It's even worse than Burning Abyss plays since Scaarms activates in EP, you get the effect right Away. I also think this could should be allowed to be treated as a level four for xyz summons. I playtested this deck and think that would really help make Cassius a better card. Thank god you made the effect to search once per turn btw, THANK GOD. Kiva and Rombie Both these guys need to be once per turn effects only. I playtested this and I love the way you made them. Kiva banishes, but the Fusion works if you have a Elysian in Graveyard. I think that was a great way to avoid brainless abuse and allow for skill and forethough/setup to overtake this. Great cards. I think Kiva should be able to SS itself if you control Rombie and vice versa BTW. These guys are like brothers. So just something to consider. Orion 1 DARK "Elysian" monster. Not DARK and "Elysian". Tastro has the same problem. Orion's effect is WAY too good. It can protect itself from Bottomless, Torrential, Compulsory, and the likes, while take down cards like Dark Hole, Call of the Haunted, and any monster in general. I think it needs to be nerf'd somehow. Tastro His effect is perfectly balanced I think. Since it's just for the Current phase only, you'd probably use this during your BP and opponent's MP 1/2. It doesn't negate, and it banishes just until the Phase is over. It can stop ignition monster effects and push comes to shove can save itself from a Bottomless Trap Hole, Mirror Force, or any other Nasty Trap (target itself). Or can save himself from battle... This is like Wind-Up Rabbit... Except... Every Phase :o Elysium 500 LP is measely b/c you are paying so god damn much in this archtype. I was hoping you'd put in some more ways to gain LP. Cuz this deck would make you hit below 2K LP real fast even if you haven't battle'd. You are giving it two foolish burials per turn? That's too much, I recommend giving it just one. The send from extra instead of banishing is a much needed recycle, you really need to make at least one more card that can do this. Otherwise your deck will be too dependent on this Field Spell to function later in the Duel. As of now, this is the only card that makes use of Face Up Extra Deck monsters, along with Orion and Tastro, but Orion and Tastro is a one time send, you need continual cards that continually move cards face up from your extra deck like this. Soul Harvest Pot of Greed Effect? No you didn't fool me with the 1k LP cost and Banishing 1 Elysian cost. Nerf it by banishing 3 Elysians instead. Too OP as is. Flash Reaping Even if this was Normal Spell it'd be nice. But the fact that you made it quickplay too makes it both both very aggressive and defensive. Love the card. End of Elysium Field Nuke? Heavy Storm is banned you know? Even with the Cost and I think it's too good. You should nerf the nuking effect to only monsters, not an entire board clearance, that's bull@#$%. Garth and Getty Perfectly Made. Btw I think you should make Monops a tuner instead of Valina. It would be better since you can Normal Kiva or Rombie and then SS Monops right off the bat and then get a search once you synchro summon with it... Make Garth Synchro Level 7, you'll never be able to Synchro Summon him as is (unless you use other stuff). Also you need a Fusion Spell otherwise you are suggesting that you just use Kiva, just a thought. Eve She should be once per turn effect. All search effects should be once per turn, especially if its that easy to SS her. Other than that perfect. Cassius A bit hard to Summon, unless you are using Valinia. But if you make the change that monops can be treated as level 4 for Xyz summon of Elysian this card would be golden with Monops. Syphis Lol, I like this guy. Pay LP, Pay LP, Pay LP, Pay 2000 more LP, then you and opp switch LP. You made him too strong for a generic Rank 8. Somehow restrict him to only being used in Elysians, otherwise any deck that can make Rank 8s WILL use this card (Sylvans, and Elysians, they even sound the same). Suggestions: Need more ways to Gain LP. Need more ways to make effective use of Face-Up Extra Deck monsters. You have quite a bit of Banishing effects, quite a bit of placing cards into Extra Face-up but not nearly as much moving from the Extra Deck to a different Location. Also, the way you worded it also heavily supports pendulum decks, since they can SS from the Extra Deck face-up (unless I'm wrong or something)... Just thought you should be aware of this. Unlike Stellarnova Alpha, the cost is to send 1 monster to Grave, this cost means you can activate multiples with one copy of one monster. That's VERY powerful. Command Too slow. No Darkworlds wouldn't use this lol. Intervention Well this card solves one of your problems. This single handedly fixes paying costs. Make both of it's effects once per turn, those effects are damn powerful. And I just saw your notes to address them: Monops: once per turn searcher who only seaches Elysians is fine. I think he should have more effects (explained above). If anything, perhap limit his searches to monsters only? Searching any Elysian card is damn good. Orion is too strong yes. You have to nerf it somehow. I don't even know how without drastically changing the card, your on your own. Tastro is too strong too, because of the floating effect. I don't think he should be allowed to target himself. Command - Too slow and too weak IMO, I wouldn't even use it in any Deck Syphis: At first glance I thought Syphis was too OP... Then I looked a Felgrand, Heliopolis, and Alsei and was like... Nah you good. But if I were you I'd still restrict it to only allow Elysians to use it. Through Command originally returned to the Deck instead of substituting Extra Deck mosnters, I forgot I changed it a while ago, right now it's definitely weak/the weakest. Thanks for the feedback. Leluke pretty much sums up my comment on the archetype except one thing. Syphis. something about a generic level 8 with 3000 ATK getting 500 for each face-up extra deck monster seems too strong. maybe nerf 500 to like 200? other than that AMAZING archetype.
