Eh why not a new Dark World card. Viess, Huntsdragon of Dark World

Hello !

 

I have started playing Dark World on DN and YGOPro.So I decided to make a card just 4 fun.

 

First of all,I know "Huntsdragon" is not an English word,I just invented it.

 

Without further delay,here's the card :

 

 

LORE :

When this card is sent by a card effect to the Graveyard, Set 1 "Dark World" Spell/Trap from your Deck.If this card is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent's card effect, draw 2 cards.

This is just my oppinion, but I would consider making it a support card rather than an actual Dark World card.

 

All dark world monsters are fiend-type, without exception. Their field spell even takes advantage of this. Even Grapha is a fiend. Also, all Dark World monsters have their names based off of colors. Their effects all work of discard, not being sent in general. Maybe do something like:

 

Dark World Huntsdragon, Veiss

Level 5 ATK 1800 DEF 1500

and keep effect the same

 

also...a level 5 with such low stats? I'd beef it up to at least 2200/1900...but thats just me

Well firstly, the effect activates when this card is sent to the Grave by a card effect. This means cards like Dark Hole, Foolish Burial, and Torrential Tribute would trigger it. Normal Dark Worlds have effects that activate only when discarded by an effect. I would recommend changing the text so it triggers only on a discard effect, and in turn, the above poster created a fine idea of making the card a support, not a Dark World. The effect is basically to search for Gates, or rarely Gateway.

 

Also, as the above poster mentioned, Dark World Monsters take inspiration from various colours, meaning you might want to make this card alike to that trend. I don't know what color you might choose, but it's probably a good idea.

It's inferior to snoww in every way, except if discarded by opp (but who does that?).  So the support is kind of off for that reason.  Support generally means something that the deck cannot do.  As of now it has snoww and snoww can search S/T... I don't see the benefit of setting them directly lol .

It's not inferior to Snoww... you can Arma, Foolish it, etc. - which you can't with Snoww. And DW's problem is mainly consistency...
