Goose
Time Constraints Normal Spell Activate only during the first duel of a match: banish one random card from your hand Face-Down; the player who wins this game wins the match. I'm thinking of making it two cards or adding a lfepoint cost. The idea is to pick a deck that does fantastic G1 and falls off hard, then run this tohelp. You need to pay a decent cost so your chances of winning drop.
Progenitor
While the idea is sound, this gets an instant ban. Just look at Victory Dragon. Konami has made it clear that any effect that applies to anything outside the current duel is just plain unfair no matter what cost or condition is put in place to make it harder to accomplish. The logic is just imagine if in the finals someone pulled off a Victory Dragon-like effect. Not only would it be extremely underwhelming, you just turned a best 2 of 3 into a singles match for the title. Unfair.
newhat
Let's say you run this in Dark World. If your opponent gets ahead, you don't use it and go into a tougher Game 2. If you get ahead, you lock the game down as best as you can, stall until you draw it and win. The fact that you have control over the choice is an unhealthy design, especially as it's a Normal Spell and difficult to counter.
