Once per turn, when a Level 2 or lower monster is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up on your side of the field: You can add 1 monster with the same name as that monster from your Deck to your hand, also change this card's battle position. You must control this face-up card to activate and to resolve this effect. During your opponent's Battle Phase: You can discard 1 Level 2 or lower monster; for the rest of this Battle Phase, Level 2 and lower monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects while you control this card (this is a Quick Effect). You can only use this effect of "Tiny Shielder" once per turn.

If only this thing could search itself when NS'd, the score would be 5-0 XD honestly, if it could search itself then you'll have a wall that can ensure its safety by discarding the copy you just searched and guarantee you to search for something more worthy during the next turn.

I never make things able to search themselves. The only time I do that is if the card can only search itself. I dislike cards that can just replace themselves. I could have given it a cost, yes, but that would probably be bad for the Decks it's trying to support, so I just went with the design choice of making it only work on others.
