TheAlchadylan
I made this archetype several years ago, but it was very unfocused and really bad. So now that I actually know how to play this game, I thought I would give it another shot. If I mess up anywhere PSCT wise please let me know. I only have about half of these done, so I will be adding more as I go. The monsters all have 3 effects: one continuous effect, one Reversing effect, and one orientation effect. Reversing works exactly how it sounds; the card is flipped upside down. 2 Level 4 "ArcanA" Monsters While this card has Xyz Materials, your opponent cannot target other "ArcanA" monsters you control with card effects. When this card is Summoned: Reverse its orientation. You can detatch 1 Xyz material from this card and target 1 "ArcanA" monster in your graveyard; shuffle that target into your deck and if you do, Reverse this card's orientation. This card gains the following effect based on its orientation: -Upright: You can add 1 "ArcanA" card from your deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "ArcanA I - The Magician" once per turn and you cannot summon monsters other than "ArcanA" monsters for the rest of this turn. -Reversed: You can discard 1 "ArcanA" card and target 1 card you control and 1 card your opponent controls; destroy both. This card's level is equal to the number of "ArcanA" monsters you control (min 1). When this card is Summoned: Reverse its orientation. If your opponent adds a card from their deck to their hand, except during the draw phase: you can Reverse this card's orientation. This card gains the following effects based on its orientation: -Upright: You can draw 1 card and reveal it. If it is an "ArcanA" monster, you can special summon it and Reverse its orientation. If it is an "ArcanA" non monster card, add it to your hand. Otherwise, place it on the bottom of the deck. You can only use this effect of "ArcanA II - High Priestess" once per turn. -Reversed: Increase the ATK of this card by 100 for each card in your opponent's hand. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: you can add 1 "ArcanA" card from your deck to your hand. 1 "ArcanA" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: place the bottom card of your deck on top and Reverse this card's orientation. If you draw a card: you can Reverse this card's orientation. This card gains the following effects based on its orientation: -Upright: Once per turn: you can reveal an "ArcanA" card your hand; excavate until you find an "ArcanA" card, then you lose 300 Life Points for each card excavated unless it has the same name as the card you revealed. -Reversed: Whenever you would draw card(s): excavate that many card and you opponent can choose to place any number of them on the bottom of your deck (this effect is only applied once per draw). (Basically, whenever you would draw a card your opponent can make you send it to the bottom of the deck and draw the next card. If you would draw two card, you reveal the top two, your opponent may send any number of them to the bottom, and then draw the next two.) 1 Tuner + 1 or more non tuner "ArcanA" monsters At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a monster with less ATK than this card: Destroy that monster. When this card is Summoned: Reverse its orientation. Once per turn, during either player's turn, if your opponent has more monster in their graveyard than you: you can reverse this card's orientation. This card gains the following effects based on its orientation: -Upright: When an opponent's monster is sent to the Graveyard; you can target it and 1 "ArcanA" monster in your Graveyard; banish the opponent's target and Special Summon your target. It cannot attack this turn. -Reverse: Once per turn: you can banish 1 "ArcanA" monster from your graveyard and target 1 monster your opponent controls; it loses ATK equal to 100 time the banished monster's level. You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). This card cannot attack while reversed, and this card cannot be used as a Synchro or Xyz material except for the summon of an "ArcanA" monster. You can only control 1 "ArcanA XV - The Devil". When this card is summoned: Reverse its orientation. When this card activates its effect while reversed, if it is the third time this turn: Reverse its orientation. This card gains the following effects based on its orientation: -Upright: Your opponent must pay 1000 Life Points to Summon a monster, activate a Spell/Trap card or monster effect, or declare an attack. -Reverse: When your opponent Summons a monster, activates a Spell/Trap card or monster effect, or declares an attack: you lose 500 Life Points. You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) when you control exactly 1 "ArcanA" monster. If you do, you cannot summon other monsters for the rest of this turn except Synchro Monsters. When this card is Summoned: Reverse its orientation. Once per turn: you can reveal the top card of your deck, and if it is an "ArcanA" card, reverse this card's orientation. This card gains the following effects based on its orientation: -Upright: An "ArcanA" Synchro monster summoned using this card as a synchro material gains the following effect: - When this card is Synchro Summoned: draw 1 card. -Reversed: You can send 1 card from your hand to your graveyard and target 1 "ArcanA" card in your graveyard; place it on top of your deck. thegreatmightypoo
Ok, before judging this, I have to know: what does "reverse it's orientation" mean?
lokun489
Ok, before judging this, I have to know: what does "reverse it's orientation" mean? I am pretty sure he means so that the attack points are facing the opponent instead of yourself, which makes for a really interesting style of play visually. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I have no idea what that means. The attack points? Like their ATK? How does that face their opponent? Is this just too abstract for me? thegreatmightypoo
Huh... I was totally not thinking of that. Reversing works exactly how it sounds; the card is flipped upside down. Wow, apparently I can't into reading, lol. Well it looks pretty good from what I can see. I really like the Devil card a lot. I think it needs more regular monsters in there, but I'm assuming you're going to get to that. Right now though, I'm not really sure what the point of hanged man is, could you explain it to me?
