Radiant F.U.R.Y.™
So i had an idea for this archetype called "Chitoknight" (pronounced /kī·tō·nīt/ or, rather, as if it rhymed with "high low flight". The idea is a series of EARTH Monsters that are simultaneously Warrior and Insect-Type, whether in hand, on the field, in the Grave, or banished. Some will have effects that have something to do with warriors, some with insects, and some (like this one) that have both. The art isnt mine, but I feel it well-represents the imagery I had in mind for the Archetype. They will look like warriors with insect-inspired armor. I want to see what everyone thinks of this guy and of what strengths, weaknesses, and possible balancing issues there could be if I do make this into an archetype (which, obviously, will be in Multiple Cards Section...so dont feel you need to inform me of that lol). So, without further adieu: This card is also always treated as a Warrior-Type monster. Once per turn, when a Warrior-Type monster(s) is sent to the Graveyard: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent's Life Points for each Insect-Type monster in your Graveyard. newhat
This card by itself doesn't do anything. It would be unreliable as a manual Ignition Effect; as a Trigger Effect that needs a Warrior to die, it's pointless. The stats are good for searching with Howling Insect but not for killing anything of value once it's Summoned. If this is some kind of bridge to a Synchro it can work, but as a standalone it lacks. Radiant F.U.R.Y.™
I built it not to work as a standalone card. This is a concept for a possible Chitoknight archetype. I intend it to draw strength from synergy with other chitoknight cards. Any thoughts toward that end? Ideas or warnings for the archetype when I put it together? newhat
A million ways. Have some effect that sends a Chitoknight to the Graveyard to Special Summon a Tuner. Like a Chitoknight One for One or Lonefire Blossom or Prior of the Ice Barrier. That way the damage from this card is a bonus on the way to a Synchro. Or add a monster that Special Summons itself, and add some reward for using cards like Transmodify or Insect Imitation on that monster. Make the monster you Summon with Transmodify a Tuner, or give it the power to use this card in some way. Or add all of the above. This still wouldn't be very good. Its effect would just be a bonus, and not that much. The card itself has no "use".
