My reasoning behind making these cards is pretty simple; I really like the idea of the Evol archetype, one of the more original ones I think, and the cards I've made are intended just to further increase consistency of 'evolving' your 'tiles into your 'saurs. Not much else to say, one's a 'tile that can tribute itself for a 'saur, one's a 'saur that provides draw power and ATK boosts. Couldn't have the scales include all monsters in the archetype as some are level 1, so went for 1 and 7: (names: Archo from Archosaur, Therizio from Therizinosaur) Evoltile Archo FIRE/ Level 2 Reptile/ Pendulum/ Effect Scale 1 Pendulum Effect: You can only Pendulum Summon "Evol" monsters. Any "Evolsaur" monster that is Pendulum Summoned is treated as if it was Special Summoned by the effect of an "Evoltile" monster. Monster Effect: You can tribute this card: Special Summon 1 "Evolsaur" monster from your hand or Graveyard in Defence Position. You can discard this card; target 1 face-up monster you control; increase that targets' level by up to 2. You can only use each effect of "Evoltile Archo" once per turn. ATK: 1100 / DEF: 800 Evolsaur Therizio FIRE/ Level 6 Dinosaur/ Pendulum/ Effect Scale 7 Pendulum Effect: You can only Pendulum Summon "Evol" monsters. Once per turn, you can tribute 1 "Evol" monster you control, then draw 1 card. All Pendulum Summoned "Evol" monsters gain 500 ATK. Monster Effect: When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of an "Evoltile" monster, target 1 card on the field; destroy it. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as Xyz Material gains this effect: This card cannot be targeted by card effects. ATK: 2000 / DEF: 1800 Any CnC would be great: feel free to say if they're overpowered or badly designed, as my main aim here was to do the Konami thing of making old archetypes played again (to be honest, Singularity was pretty nutty). Cirrus Posted December 18, 2014 Report Share Posted December 18, 2014 These cards seem par for the course. Nothing crazy, but support for old archetypes is always nice. Archo seems good to go into that 1200/1000 thingy so you can instant Laggia or Dolkka. I was never a big fan of the level 6 dinos so I can't really comment on Therizio.
