Cirrus

先人の賢明アンティキティラWisdom of the Ancients, AntikytheraLevel 9 - DARK - Machine/Synchro/Effect - 2400 ATK/1600 DEF1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersThis card cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card is Synchro Summoned: Switch control of 1 monster your opponent controls and this card. During the End Phase: Return control of this card to its original owner, then if its controller and owner are not the same, send it to the Graveyard. --- Generic level 9 Synchro gooooo Sometimes you just don't want to be Mist Wurm. Sometimes you look at Locomotion R-Genex and think "hmm why can't I have that in a deck that's not dumb". Fear not! Antikythera is here to answer your pleas. At worst this is mediocre removal for some stuff, but there are more possibilities ... it depends on what boss monster your opponent has out. still loses to Apoqliphoth Killer though fml QUICK EDIT: friend informs me return should be instant as to make it not trash (aka starting on the first end phase); adjusted. even trade if attempting to OTK, conditional +2 if not. Cirrus
Step it up critics, surely this card isn't impeccable.
Valkyrus
for OCG I'd go with something more like this: Cannot be destroyed by battle. When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls and this card; switch control of those targets. During the End Phase: Return control of this card to its original owner. I don't see how the destruction effect would ever go off since if it doesn't return to you it means its effect was negated. Which would negate its destruction as well. There may be some rare cases in which that could happen but I don't think the effect needs any clutter like that. The ATK/DEF is kind of awkward for the level as well. I'd lower the ATK and boost the DEF so you can ram stuff into it for damage or just summon it in DEF and not worry about damage when it comes back to you during the End Phase. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise it's a solid card.
Cirrus
Firstly, regarding OCG issues: increased clarity of wording would help, but the fixes do change the fundamental functions. The effect intentionally does not target, but your iteration would make it do so ... however, thank you for reminding me that I should replace the first part with "switch control". The antiquated wording is a relic of when I wanted to do something else with the card, but. Additionally, the edge case is when the summoning player controls 5 or more monsters during the End Phase; in that case, Antikythera would go to the Graveyard instead of stay under the opponent's control. It's actually the case I thought of immediately as I designed the card, so although I guess it's mildly rare I'd still like to retain the functionality. Revised the text a bit more though! I had no idea what Remove Brainwashing actually said, so y'know. The body's stats is also intentionally awkwardly low (if you were referring to that) but still okay on the offense / weak on defense, but you raise some very interesting thoughts and opportunities ... I'll have to think on it and consult some sages, then make changes after if those sages agree. Given that it's indestructible by battle though I'd think its defense doesn't matter all that much if you just want to keep it. Except against rare piercing monsters, against which you deserve to take the damage. (... :u)
