{Written} Imperial Wings - The Kajinku Archetype (15/?)

This is the third archetype in my Duel Terminal esque story line. The Kajinku are all Winged-Beast WIND monsters which focus on Xyz summoning and are based off Roman social standings and military ranks. 

 

Kajinku Auxiliaris

Monster Effect

WIND Level 3 Winged-Beast

If this card is Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 level 3 or lower"Kajinku" monster from your hand, except "Kajinku Auxiliary".  The effect of "Kajinku Auxiliary" can only be activated once per turn.

ATK-1200/DEF-800

 

Kajinku Servus

Monster Effect

WIND Level 3 Winged-Beast

When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Kajinku" monster: You can target 1 monster you control; this card's level becomes equal to the level of that monster.

Xyz Effect

WIND Rank 3 Winged-Beast

2 Level 3 "Kajinku" monsters
Once per turn: You can target any number of cards on the field equal to the number of Xyz material this card has; destroy them. During your opponents End Phase; detach 1 Xyz material from this card.

Monster Effect

WIND Level 4 Winged-Beast

You can pay 800 Life Points: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower WIND monster (from your hand or Deck). You cannot Xyz Summon monsters this turn, except for WIND monsters. The effect of "Kajinku Legeishi" can only be activated once per turn.

2 Level 4 "Kajinku" monsters
Once per turn, while this card has Xyz material; you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Destroy it. During Your Standby Phase: Detach 1 Xyz material from this card.

Kajinku Centurion

Monster Effect

WIND Level 6 Winged-Beast

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) but its ATK and DEF are halved. If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Kajinku" monster except by its own effect; Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Kajinku" monster from your hand. You cannot Xyz Summon monsters this turn, except for WIND monsters. You can only activate each effect of "Kajinku Centurion" once per turn.

Xyz Effect

WIND Rank 6 Winged-Beast

2 level 6 WIND monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 "Kajinku" monster you control; it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. If this card is destroyed by a opponents card (either by battle or by card effect) while it has Xyz material: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower WIND monster from your hand.

Kajinku Pratrician

Monster Effect

WIND Level 8 Winged-Beast

If you control 2 or more WIND monsters you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is sent to the graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Kajinku" monster from your hand except "Kajinku Patrician".

Kajinku Ceaser

Xyz Effect

WIND Rank 8 Winged-Beast

2 level 8 WIND monsters
You can also Xyz summon this card by using 1 "Kajinku" Xyz monster as Xyz material (Xyz material attached to that card are sent to the graveyard.) If summoned this way, inflict 800 damage to your opponent for each Xyz material sent to the graveyard. Once per turn you can detach 1 Xyz material from this card: Target 1 monster you control; double its original ATK until the End Phase, it cannot attack your opponent directly this turn.

Flight of the Empire

Spell Normal

If you control no monsters, Special Summon 1 "Kajinku" monster from your hand. You can only Special Summon "Kajinku" monsters the turn you activate this effect. If this card is in the graveyard while you control a "Kinjaku" Xyz monster, you can banish this card; add 1 WIND monster from your deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Flight of the Empire" effect per turn and only once per turn.

 

Wind of Leadership

Spell Normal

Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Kajinku" monster from your graveyard. You can banish this card from your graveyard; target 1 monster your opponent controls: Return it to it's owners hand. You can only activate 1 "Wind of Leadership" effect per turn and only once that turn.

 

Imperial Rally

Trap Normal

Add 1 WIND Winged-Beast type monster from your deck to your hand. If this card is activated when you have 2 or more "Kajinku" monsters in your graveyard: Special Summon 1 WIND Winged-Beast type monster from you deck instead.

 

Kajinku Senate (credit goes to Dueling Master)
Field Spell
Every time a "Kajinku" Monster is special summoned, place 1 Empire Counter on this card. Once per turn, during either players turn, you remove any number Empire Counters from this card to activate the corresponding effect;
2: Negate the effect of a Spell/Trap card that targets a "Kajinku" monster you control and if you do; destroy it.
3: Add 1 Kajinku monster card from your graveyard to your hand.
4: Special Summon 1 non-Xyz "Kajinku" monster from your graveyard to your side of the field.

 

Kajinku Blades

Spell Equip

This card can only be equipped to a WIND monster. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK and DEF. If this card is sent from the field to the graveyard; target 1 WIND Winged-Beast monster in your graveyard: Special Summon it.

 

Spirits of the Founders

Trap Normal

You can only activate during your opponents Main Phase. Target 5 "Kajinku" monsters in your graveyard; Shuffle all 5 into the Deck and draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Spirits of the Founders" per turn.

 

CnC, OCG fixes and so on appriciated. Any thoughts on how to expand it or if you want to collaborate on the remaining 3 tribes send me a PM. This archetype will be finished after it reaches anywhere between 17 and 25 cards.

Hey

 

I really like this set. I love sets that utilize special summoning advantages, however some sets tend to get too overpowered and too easy to develop. The synergy is well done. However a couple of improvements:

 

Kajinku Equesequal: instead of saying "equal to the number of Xyz material this card has" say "equal to the number of Xyz materials attached to this card"

 

Kajinku Imperatorit: change "can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn" to "the selected monster can attack twice this turn"

 

Kajinku Pratrician: I like the idea of being able to special summon him, but this is a bit overpowered since all you need is a lvl3 or 4 Kajinki monster who can special summon another monster and you can special summon him. Maybe decrease his ATK a little and add a restriction clause e.g. "this card cannot attack the turn it is special summoned" or "you cannot attack the turn this card is special summoned by its own effect."

 

Flight of the Empire: Needs to have a restriction to the summoning effect otherwise any player will use it first to special summon one Kajinku monster, then normal summon another one, then special summon a third one (using one of the previously summoned monster's effect) and you have an almost filled field. Maybe you could add "you cannot special summon another Kajinku monster the turn you activate this card"

 

Wind of Leadership: Same as with "Flight of the Empire"; needs a restriction

 

I would also recommend adding a field spell. Here is my thoughts on what it should be:

 

Kajinku Colleseum/Empire/Castle (I know, the name is not the best XD

Field Spell

Lore: Every time a Kajinku Monster is special summoned, place 1 Kajinku Counter on this card (couldnt think of a better counter name). Once per turn, during either players turn, you remove a number Kajinku Counters from this card to activate the corresponding effect;

2: Negate the effect of a spell/trap card that targets a Kajinku monster you control and send it to the graveryard

3: Add 1 Kajinku monster card from your graveyard to your hand

4: Special summon 1 non-Xyz Kajinku monster from your graveyard to your side of the field

 

This is all the feedback I can give right now. Hope it is of much use to you. Also, can't wait to see the images that you'll choose for these cards.

In regards to Flight of the Empire, making a restriction against summoning Kajinku monsters would cancel out the archetypal Xyzs but still allow generic Xyz monsters like Castel and 101.

 

Thanks for the suggestion for the field spell I fixed some things but I'm not sure the OCG is correct.
