Dueling Master
Hey guys, I've bee a member of this site for quite a while but this is my first post, so I need all the feedback I can get. Anyways, I present to you the Bloxx Monsters. Many thanks to the following people for helping me improve this deck: LegoLord91 Prologue: The Bloxx Monsters came into existence when a young mage accidentally enchanted a Lego set he possessed. The monsters escaped his mansion, and now they roam around the world, searching for Lego sets to add to their army. (I know, not the best prologue XD) Anyways, for the cards: Monsters: Every time this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, place 1 Bloxx-Counter on this card. This card gains 100 ATK Points for every Bloxx-Counter on it. As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, your opponent cannot select another face-up "Bloxx" monster you control as an Attack target except for this card. Any monster that attacks this card loses 200 ATK points for every Bloxx-Counter on this card during he Damage Step only Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can remove 3 Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field to destroy 1 card on the field. This card cannot Attack the turn you activate this effect. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can remove 3 Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field to Special Summon 1 Level 4 "Bloxx" monster from your hand to your side of the field. Once per turn you can remove 2 Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field to negate the activation and effect of a Spell or Trap card that targets a "Bloxx" monster(s) you control and destroy the card. When this card is Summoned to your side of the field, place 2 Bloxx-Counters on each face-up "Bloxx" monster you control. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can place 2 Bloxx-Counters on a face-up "Bloxx" monster you control. Traps: You can only activate this card when a face-up "Bloxx" monster you control is selected as an attack target. Remove 3 Bloxx-Counters from the field. Destroy the attacking monster. You can then remove 1 Bloxx-Counter from the field to add this card to your hand instead of sending it to the Graveyard. During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, remove 2 Bloxx-Counters from the field otherwise destroy this card. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, decrease the ATK and DEF of all your opponent's monsters by 100 x the number of Bloxx-Counters on the field. When this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Bloxx" monster from your Graveyard to your side of the field. You can only activate this card when your opponent activates a Trap card. Remove 1 Bloxx-Counter from the field. Negate the effect of your opponent's Trap card and return it to thier hand. Spells: You can only activate this card during your Main Phase 1. Destroy one face-up card on your opponent's side of the field. Then, place 2 Bloxx-Counters on a face-up "Bloxx" you control. You can only activate 1 "Bloxx Big Bang Attack" per turn Tribute 1 "Bloxx" monster you control. Distribute 3 Bloxx-Counters amongst face-up "Bloxx" monsters on your side of the field. You can only activate this card during your Main Phase 1. Special Summon 1 "Bloxx" monster from your Deck to your side of the field and place 3 Bloxx-Counters on it. The monster cannot declare an attack this turn. You can only activate 1 "Bloxx Hero Call" per turn. You can only equip this card to a face-up "Bloxx" monster you control. The equipped monster gains 400 ATK points for every Bloxx-Counter on it. Every time the equipped monster attacks, remove 1 Blox-Counter from it. During the End Phase, if the equipped monster has no Bloxx-Counters on it, destroy the monster and this card. All "Bloxx" monsters gain 300 ATK and DEF points. During each of your Standby Phases, place 2 Bloxx-Counter on every face-up "Bloxx" monster you control. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can remove a number of Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field to activate the corresponding effect; -2:Negat the activation of a Spell/Trap card that targets this face-up card and destroy it. -4;Add 1 "Bloxx" card from your Deck to your hand then Shuffle your Deck. -6:Special Summon 1 "Bloxx" monster from your Graveyard to your side of the field. Finally, Xyz: 2 Level 4 "Bloxx" monsters Increase the ATK and DEF of all your face-up "Bloxx" monsters by 200 points for every Xyz Material attached to this card. When a face-up "Bloxx" monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by card effect, you can detach one Xyz material from this card instead. 3 Level 4 "Bloxx" monsters This card cannot be destroyed by card effect. Increase the ATK of this card by 300 points for every Xyz material attached to it. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can detach one Xyz material from this card to destroy a set card on the field. Once per turn you can remove 3 Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field to select a "Bloxx" monster in your Graveyard; attach it to this card as an Xyz material. 3 Level 4 "Bloxx" monsters This card gains 100 ATK points for every Bloxx-Counter on the field. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to destroy 1 monster on the field. Every time this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, place 2 Bloxx-Counters on this card. Here is my opinion on how to use this deck: The player's priority should be getting the field spell, since it is the driving force of the whole deck. After that, the player should focus on filling the field with "Bloxx" monsters, using defense ones life "Bloxx Defender". After building a sufficient stack of Bloxx-Counters, Xyz summon one of the Mega Bloxx bosses. Then, wiping the field should be quite easy. The spells and traps provide decent protection and coverage. What do you think? Your feedback is much appreciated (constructive criticism please) Thank you :) I do not own any of the art. Full credit goes to Ben10 Omniverse, googleimages and deviantart.com as far as the pictures are concerned.

LegoLord91
This set is pretty cool. I think it would be a little bit cooler if the type was switched to Rock, because then they could work REALLY REALLY nicely with Block Golem (another Lego based card!). I wouldn't recommend changing their name to Block though, because this strategy would be borderline broken if Block Golem was searchable. I really like the various pictures, but the black background is a little melancholy. I don't know if you can do anything about that, but better backgrounds would be nice. If not, I still dig it. As for suggestions, I think Bloxxotopia's -4 effect is a little too powerful. I think it would be perfectly fine if you searched only one Bloxx card, but being able to search 2 Bloxx Hero Call's is too good. I mean you can get 2 Bloxx Hammerers for free, destroy 2 cards on the field, and then go into a Rank 4. On the flip side, I really like the -2 effect. It's almost a mind game. Your opponent can wait until you activate the -4 or -6 effect, and then destroy it. Which brings me to my next point, I think Bloxx Hero Call should have a "You can only activate 1 "Bloxx Hero Call" per turn" clause, for the same reason above. If you get 2 or more in hand, it's REALLY good. Especially since Bloxxotopia searches it. Also, I think if Craboss was a 2 material and Humungosaur was a 3 material they should be fine, especially since they have the restriction of only being summoned by Bloxx Monsters. Dueling Master
Thank you very much LegoLord91. I agree with you about the changes to card effects of Bloxxotopia and Hero Call. I am also going to change them to Rock type because I understand where you are coming from. For the picture backgrounds, I am searching for a nice colored-tile background that won't mask the monsters. But as soon as I find suitable pictures, I'll change the cards. Changes to monster type have been made. Also, some changes to the spell and trap cards. Moreover, I reduced the cost of some of the monsters effects. Plus I added 2 new cards; Outbreak and Destructonator. Thank you very much again :)
LegoLord91
I really like the changes! Now a Bloxxotopia on field, a Block Golem in hand, and a Bloxx Supplier in the Graveyard means serious shenanigans. Imagine with me: - Summon Block Golem - Tribute for Bloxx Supplier and any other level 4 Bloxx monster - Bloxx Supplier puts at LEAST 4 Bloxx-Counters on the field - Bloxxotopia removes 4 Bloxx Counters to search Bloxx Hero Call - Bloxx Hero Call Special Summons Bloxx Hammerer from Deck - Bloxx Hammerer destroys a card on the field. - Overlay all 3 Bloxx Monsters for Mega Bloxx Destructonator! Yeah, that gives me the feels. For the record, I dig the name Mega Bloxx for the Extra Deck mosnters. It's punny. Okay. As I am looking through these cards a second time around, I am noticing a few wording issues. I'll do my best to correct or compound, but I am NO expert. As I do these, I will give suggestion to any individual effect changes I think might be necessary to balance the strategy a little bit more. Bloxx Attacker: Every time this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, place 1 Bloxx-Counter on this card. This card gains 100 ATK for every Bloxx-Counter on it. Just a minor change, the points after ATK isn't needed. Bloxx Defender: As long as this card remains face-up on your side of the field, your opponent cannot select another face-up "Bloxx" monster you control as an attack target. Any monster that attacks this card loses 200 ATK for every Bloxx-Counter on this card until the end of the Damage Step. Same change as Bloxx-Attacker. The word "points" isn't needed. Bloxx Hammerer: Once during your Main Phase 1, you can remove 3 Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field to destroy 1 card on the field. This card cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect. All that I did here was compound the first part of the effect. Bloxx Overwatch: I like this card as it is. Bloxx Stopper: Once per turn, if a Spell or Trap card is activated that targets face-up "Bloxx" monster(s) you control, you can remove 2 Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field to negate the activation and effect of that card and destroy it. I just changed the wording so it flows a little bit better. Bloss Supplier: I also like this card as it is. In fact, it's my favorite out of the main deck monsters! Bloxx Ambush Trap: You can only activate this card when a face-up "Bloxx" monster you control is selected as an attack target. Remove Bloxx-Counters from the field equal to the level/rank of the attacking monster: destroy the attacking monster. You can then remove 1 Bloxx-Counter from the field to add this card to your hand instead of sending it to the Graveyard. I think as this card stood was a little bit too powerful. It's essentially a Sakuretsu Armor meets Scrap-Iron Scare Crow. But I think by balancing out the number of Bloxx-Counters being removed by the strength of the attacking monster make it a little bit more fair. This deck is all about managing your resources, so I think the 1 Bloxx-Counter return effect is okay, because you still have to take in account how much it will cost to activate it a second time. But I'm still on the fence. Take it as you will. Bloxx Crippling Cage: During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, remove 2 Bloxx-Counters from the field, otherwise destroy this card. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, decrease the ATK and DEF of all your opponent's monsters by 100 x the number of Bloxx-Counters on the field. When this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Bloxx" monster from your Graveyard to your side of the field. You can only activate this effect of "Bloxx Crippling Cage" once per turn. This card is pretty neat. I actually like it a lot. So much so, that I needed to add a "once per turn" clause. Here is why. If you have a Bloxx-Counterless field, you can activate this card during your opponents Draw Phase, then when it hits their Standby Phase it's effect triggers to destroy itself and you can Special Summon ANY Bloxx monster from the Graveyard, including the Mega Bloxx! Neat! Also, this card has excellent synergy with Hammerer. You can set this card, then use Hammerer to destroy it, and then use it's Special Summon effect. I would play this card MORE for it's summing effect, rather than it's on-field effect. So that's why it needed the "once per turn" clause. Bloxx Trap Negator: You can only activate this card when your opponent activates a Trap card. Remove 1 Bloxx-Counter from the field. Negate the effect of your opponent's Trap card and return it to their hand. Just a spelling correction. I changed "thier" to "their." Otherwise I think this is balanced, since it just returns it to the hand. Bloxx Big Bang Attack: You can only activate this card during your Main Phase 1. Remove 2 Bloxx-Counters from your side of the field; destroy one face-up card on your opponent's side of the field. You can only activate 1 "Bloxx Big Bang Attack" per turn. I think this card was broken. You get to destroy a card on the field, AND then get rewarded for destroying it? It's like activating Bloxx Outbreak on an opponents card. I think it should be more like Hammerer, but in a more specific spell card form. Also, not sure if you did this intentionally, but as it stands, this card doesn't target. Which, could be cool. Bloxx Outbreak: I like this card. I assume it's a Quick-Play, but it doesn't show up in the picture. Bloxx Hero Call: We have already discussed this card. Bloxx Super Cannon: You can only equip this card to a face-up "Bloxx" monster you control. The equipped monster gains 400 ATK points for every Bloxx-Counter on it. Every time the equipped monster attacks, remove 1 Blox-Counter from it. During the End Phase, if the equipped monster has no Bloxx-Counters on it, destroy it. I felt like by saying "destroy the monster and this card" was just redundant. The fact that the monster is being destroyed, means that the equip card will also be destroyed. Bloxxotopia: We also discussed this card. Mega Bloxx Craboss: I like this card as it stands. Mega Bloxx Destructonator: I also like this card. I think he is more of a boss than Humungosaur. You can Special Summon him from the Graveyard with Bloxx Crippling Cage, Call of the Haunted, Oasis of Dragon Souls, etc.... then use his effect to reattach Xyz Materials so he is back in the game. Cool beans. Mega Bloxx Humungosaur: 3 Level 4 "Bloxx" monsters This card gains 100 ATK points for every Bloxx-Counter on the field. Once during your Main Phase 1, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to destroy 1 monster on the field. Every time this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, place 2 Bloxx-Counters on this card. Once again, just a simple rewording. I changed "Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1," to "Once during your Main Phase 1." I've said it before, but I really like this set. I would definitely place this if it were real! Keep up the good work!
