CLG Klavier
ITT: Stupid troll deck theorycrafting I think this topic was done once by me, BUT, a new spoiler made me rethink it yet again. Basic idea would be to reduce enemy monster levels below 3 to steal with with Soul en masse. Most of the meta is low-level anyways, so it wouldn't be hard, ESPECIALLY NOW, that you can have vitually 9 copies of a level reducer card and Soul in your deck: 3 Possessed Dark Soul 3 Scarm, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss (which searches Soul) 3 Tour Guide From the Underworld (which searches Scarm) 3 Mischief of the Yokai 3 Stygian Dirge 3 Mischief of the Gnomes (SECE TCG Exclusive) That's nearly half of your deck devoted to the "combo". Most of the level changing cards have some use in screwing up Xyz/Synchro plays, while 6/9 of the monster engine is pretty ok by itself. It sounds stupid, silly and unworth indeed, but I still think it's a nice troll deck to make, but it also shows the concept of "redunancy" in a card game: if you keep getting cards with similiar effects that are weak on their own, you'll eventually get a critical mass of those effects to make a deck more consistent/have more fuel, like here. The engine parts used to be 3/3. Then Mischief and Tour Guide came and it became a 6/6, then Scarm made it a 9/6, and eventually we arrive at 9/9. A deck with so much redunancy is bound to "work", aka, meet its own goals in nearly all games. Whether it's worth it or not is another deal. Do, discuss the idea, Dark Soul and concept of redunancy as general.

No it doesn't. The effect of PDS activates from the Field and will still be negated by Tour Guide. Skill Drain vs Stardust is completely different from the majority of other negation effects. No offense here, but your ruling knowledge is severely subpar. Would you please stop throwing it around unless you are absolutely 100% positive you are right? OT: It sounds good on paper, but the combo just wouldn't realistically work. Burning Abyss is the only relevant deck right now that fully utilizes level 3s, and even then, they don't leave them on the field, their turn generally ends with Dante or Virgil, both of which completely evade this card. It has potential in the rogue realm, and even then, its meh because of all the dead draws you are running.
