{Written) Ringed Hallways - Ring Lord (6/17)

Azure Wolf

Recommended Posts

The fourth archetype for my duel terminal -esque stroyline. This one focuses on ritual summoning and like the last two Ritual archetypes they are WATER (EARTH and FIRE didn't seem as fitting). This is the archetype I want help with making the most, as I want to find a point where it can stand against the current meta, yet not have the same consistency and power as Necloths and Qlis.

Monsters

Ring Lord Eris

Level 4 WATER Spellcaster Effect

When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned, you can add 1 "Ring Lord" monster or one "Ring Ceremony" Ritual Spell card from your deck to your hand.

1200/1700

A archetypal Manju, allowing for tribute fodder or Ritual Spell. I prevented from grapping any Spell and trap as I already have cards which can do that.

Ring Lord Ern

Level 3 WATER Spellcaster Effect

If you Ritual Summon a "Ring Lord" Ritual monster, this monster can be used as the entire tribute. You can banish this card from your graveyard, add 1 "Ring Ceremony" Trap card from your deck to your hand.

1400/1300

Ring Lord Erica
Level 3 WATER Spellcaster Effect
If you Ritual Summon a "Ring Lord" Ritual monster, this monster can be used as the entire tribute. You can banish this card from your graveyard, add 1 "Ring Ceremony" Spell card from your deck to your hand.
1300/1400

The spell and trap searchers for the deck. Ern grabs any Ring ceremony traps while his sister, Erica grabs Spells, they are also the main cards you want to use as tributes because like Shrit, they can be used as the entire tribute. You mainly would use Erica's banish effect to search for ritual spells or they Pot of Avarice/Duality (haven't decided yet) and Ern's is for getting traps for recycling banished cards.

Ring Lord Rishe

Level 8 WATER Spellcaster Ritual

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Ritual Summoned. You can Ritual Summon this card with any "Ring Ceremony" Ritual Spell Card. You can banish the top card of your deck face-down. When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard add 1 card banished by this effect to your hand and send the rest to your graveyard.

3000/1000

The first ritual for the archetype allows for banishing then graveyard filling (has more impact later on) and a card when it enters the graveyard. Other than that it is mainly the beatstick of the deck, so if your opponent has skill drain (or alternative) you can still have a chance for a comback.

Spells

Ring Ceremony Atrow

Spell Ritual

This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Ring Lord" Ritual monster. You must also Tribute monster from your hand or the field whose total levels equal the level of the monster you Ritual Summon. You can banish this card from your graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Ring Lord" monster from your graveyard with its effects negated.

The basic Ritual Spell for the deck, with a secondary effect for a specific monster reborn after it hits the grave.

Traps

Ring Ceremony Zwite

Trap Continuous

Once per turn, activate one of these effects:
-Target 3 cards in either players graveyard; shuffle all 3 into their owners deck and if you do, both players draw 1 card.
-Send 1 card from your hand to the graveyard; shuffle 2 other cards from your graveyard into your deck.

You can only activate 1 "Ring Ceremony Zwite" effect per turn and only once that turn.

The main trap of the deck which effects are mandatory, for the first effect will either benefit you or your opponent more (depended on your opponent's deck) while the second effect is Pot of Benevolence at the cost of a card.
