OrderInChaos Posted January 10, 2015 Report Share Posted January 10, 2015 Level 6 - DARK - Fiend / Effect - ATK 2600 / DEF 800 When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, except a Level 4 or lower monster: Banish that destroyed monster and if you do, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Fiend-Type DARK monster from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. I don't see Fairy-Type and Spellcaster-Type Decks having any use for this, since they have better options for those kinds of things. Having the direct attack effect just seems awful and really not needed, the same goes for the "you can only control 1" condition. Since I thought of Umbral Horror when I saw this, I looked over what they had, and well, it has an okay use there, but due to it being a Level 6 monster with no real easy way to get out, I doubt that it is something you would want to consider in there either. So, my suggestion: Add a way to get this out faster, a Special Summon effect of some kind, but make sure you don't make it so powerful that it can be abused either. The drawbacks are mostly just there because Level 6 monsters with 2600+ ATK always have some kind of restriction, even if the high ATK alone doesn't really make them [i]that[/i] powerful in today's game (kinda like Level 4 monsters with 2000 ATK). That said, given the card's rather slow to begin with, the "only 1" condition is probably useless so I'll take it out. Also, I didn't really have any particular archtype in mind when making the card, but I like the idea of giving it more synergy with Umbral Horrors, since it fits with the attribute, type and name somewhat. I'll post a new version of the card in the OP in a sec. I didn't add a Special Summon effect, but made its effect a bit stronger to make it more worth the effort to bring it out, and changed the direct attack drawback to something that should still help balance out its high ATK, but isn't [i]entirely[/i] a drawback - especially if you use it with Umbral Horrors.
