A Wisel Counterpart for Xyz Monsters

Somehow I get the feeling that it's two thirds Wisel and the other third is Black Luster Soldier, but it just might be just because of its ATK and DEF stats. So, here it is:

[spoiler='Lore']

(split for convenience:)

Cannot be Summoned or Set, except by its own effect.

When a monster you control is Banished, except by its own effect: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) . When this card is Summoned: Attach up to 4 monsters from your graveyard to this card as Xyz materials (This card is not treated as an Xyz monster) .

Once per turn, you can detach 3 Xyz materials from this card: Target 1 Xyz monster your opponent controls; Attach it and all its Xyz materials (if any exist) to this card as Xyz materials. This card's ATK is increased by half the ATK of all Xyz monsters attached to it by this effect.

( Random comments:

The picture makes it look a bit like Number 9 / C9 (Dyson Sphere), doesn't it?

Also, 'no Rabbit for you!' is what I thought when I added [except by its own effect] to the summon conditions. )

This card basically says: Attack with Galaxy Eyes, use its effect, and swing again with a free 3k body.

The secondary effect is controversial. The idea of having "Xyz Materials" on a non-xyz monster is interesting but I don't think it works. Food Cemetery has a similar effect, but that's an anime-only card.

Honestly I would better if this was an xyz monster, with less ATK/DEF. And by less I mean 0 Atk and Def.

Thanks for the really quick review, but I have some points to make regarding it:

The first is, that the first line is incorrect, because Galaxy-Eyes clearly banishes itself with its own effect, and this card specificly says ' When a monster you control is banished, EXCEPT BY ITS OWN EFFECT ' . So you have to use a little bit more effort than that to achieve the summoning condition. It is 'A monster has to be BANISHED, from your FIELD, -except by its own effect- ' . If you still want examples of cards you control which could banish other monsters you control, that'd be Noden, if it doesn't get Xyz'd, the trap 'Interdimensional Matter Transporter' ... DDs will probably benefit from that, with Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure, ... Miracle Fusion mayybe, with Chain Material+Fusion Gate also being a way, Cyber Valley if it banishes another monster together with it to draw 2, which is quite uncommon at least from what I know, and things like that. Galaxy Eyes, Rabbit, Battle Fader, Plague, Thunderbird and such won't do it.

Secondly, Wisel already has 2500 ATK and DEF, and it powers up by the whole original ATK of the monster it equipped, and not just by half of it. So basicly if my card would get lets say Tachyon or Neo-Tachyon, it'd get a +1500 or +2250 respectively, which would put it at 4500, or 5250. Wisel on the other hand, if it captures a Beelze, it gets it straight to 5500. And if it captures a Beelzeus, it goes to 6500. Taking into consideration that maybe there'd be a situation where this card here captures an Xyz-evolved monster with its materials, it'd get ATK from that monster's base material too (lets say Utopia Ray, it'd get ATK from Utopia too.) , it's still on a level with Wisel ATK-wise. Oh, and 1card!Wisel has a once per turn spell negation. This card has no defensive / counter effects whatsoever, only effects for offense. I wondered whether to make it 2500 ATK instead, but to be honest, REDMD sprung into my mind almost immediately, with other stuff which could go over it.

And third point... which is kinda casual, but Yugioh Pro has this anime card called Dragon Unit Ritual. I don't know if it's a made-up effect, but it too, attaches 2 Xyz materials to a non-Xyz monster, in that case, 'Dragonic Knight'. And that card also states that 'Dragonic Knight is never treated as an Xyz monster' . So it has been done before, at least that one time.

The '0 ATK and DEF Xyz which raises ATK from opponent Xyz monsters' was also done once before, with 'Unformed Void'. ... Sure, a 3 material monster, and it doesn't see much play, but might as well say that.

After re-reading it over, despite reading it 2 or 3 times before, I realized I misread a couple of things so I admit to that mistake. Especially the first effect by which I thought it special summons after a monster banishes itself, and that it gains atk from all Xyz Monsters attached to it (including the ones to added by it's first effect, which could be Xyz Monsters).

As it is now, it's pretty solid I would say. However, Dragon Unit RItual is a manga card, not an anime card. Manga Cards tend to be vague and not use correct OCG (because printing space), meaning they can word stuff however. But I do like the idea of non-Xyz monsters having "materials" attached to it, I only suggested the idea of making it an Xyz monster to avoid controversy. Which could have had a similar summoning method (similar to No.53 summoning No.91, though the latter doesn't have a 3k body), but would be Xyz.
