Preventative Measures

Lore

When 3 or more cards would leave the field by an opponents card effect: You can negate the activation and destroy that card then draw 1 card. If this face down card is destroyed: your opponent discards 1 random card from their hand.

A sort of anti nuke but applies if cards are returned to hand/deck, banished, taken control of. also has a bit if blind MST'ed (is that a thing?). As always, all feedback especially OCG fixes are awesome!

 taken control of

cards that are taken control of don't leave the field.

this can be used to stop field nukes, yes, but it can also stop fusion summons through things like Dragon Mirror (when banished from the field), infernoid special summons (if they banish from the field, which the field spell lets them do), and i'm sure there's more. yeah. i think you see what I'm saying here. this card does way to much. also to work properly, i think it would need to be a counter trap.

Dragon's Mirror selects and removes monsters on resolution. Infernoids are inherent summons, which doesn't get stopped by this card either. To the poster above: please make an effort to reconsider and understand what the card does.

This is actually pretty okay. It doesn't have to be a Counter Trap, although the Dark Coffin-esque effect seems rather punishing. I'm not sure if it's actually that playable though, with or without the Dark Coffin effect. I mean, look at The Huge Revolution is Over. Does anyone play that? Not unless as one-ofs or side-deck material or something similar. It does have the benefit of shutting down stuff like ... wow, Mist Wurm and that's about it (because most effects kill one at a time).

Yeah, 3 cards is pretty restrictive (and rightly so). Says "screw you" to Fire Lake though (... :v)
