The Satellites are a series of LIGHT Machine-type monsters whose stats increase over time. Due to their nature of being fragile stat-wise, many of them have battle immunity. They have the potential of becoming massive beaters, but their stats return to 0 after an attack.The series started with "Satellite Cannon", and in GX, more members such as "Satellite Base" and even a fusion known as "Satellite Laser Balsam" were introduced. In addition, a support card known as "Charge" was introduced as well. Although none of these cards ever made it to the TCG/OCG with the exception of Satellite Cannon, they remain one of my favorite series of monsters. They were mainly used by Prince Ojin in GX (who unfortunately, was just a minor role in Season 2). Although I heavily expected Quinton (or V) to utilize them in ZEXAL, because his deck is based on Space, I was disappointed.

 

These cards are based on that with adherence to the standards of today. Today's game is fast-paced and this type of strategy would not yield much results today. As a result, these cards are designed with 2 options in mind, you can super beef your monsters and try to OTK, or you can save your resources and produce massive beater after beater in the form of relatively difficult to summon Machine-type Xyz monsters from the ranks of 5, 9, and 10. To prevent the swarming of these powerful monsters, these monsters are not able to constantly appear on the field without the use of outside help. So without further ado, here we go.

 

Satellite Enhancer (LIGHT) **** (Level 4)

Machine/Effect

Once per turn: You can increase this card's Level by 1. If this card declares an attack, after damage calculation, the ATK and DEF of this card become 0.

Satellite Base (LIGHT) **** (Level 4)

Machine/Effect

This card cannot be destroyed in battle by a monster with a Level of 5 or lower. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can change this card to Defense Position. If this card attacks or is attacked, after damage calculation, the ATK and DEF of this card become 0. During your End Phase: This card gains 1000 DEF.

Dyson Satellite (LIGHT) ***** (Level 5)

Machine/Effect

If you control a face-up "Satellite" monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only Special Summon 1 "Dyson Satellite" per turn in this way. You can target 1 other "Satellite" monster you control; the Levels of both that monster and this card become the combined current Levels of those 2 monsters. You can only use this effect of "Dyson Satellite" once per turn. If this card declares an attack, after damage calculation, the ATK and DEF of this card become 0.

Satellite Core (LIGHT) ********* (Level 9)

Machine/Effect

If a "Satellite" monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect controlled by your opponent: You can discard this card from your hand; that monster is not destroyed. This effect of "Satellite Core" can only be used once per turn. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 "Satellite" monster you control with a Level: Special Summon this card from your Graveyard, and if you do, this card's Level becomes equal to that target's. You cannot Special Summon monsters except Machine-type monsters the turn you use this effect. This effect of "Satellite Core" can only be used once per duel.

Satellite Ray - Dyson Base (LIGHT) **** (Rank 4)

Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 4 "Satellite" monsters

This card cannot be destroyed in battle by a monster with a Level. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; all face-up "Satellite" monsters you control gain 1000 DEF. If this card attacks or is attacked, after damage calculation, the ATK and DEF of this card become 0. You can target 1 "Dyson" Xyz monster you control with a higher rank than this card; Attach this card (and all Xyz Materials attached to it) to that monster as Xyz Materials.

Satellite Ray - Dyson Cannon (LIGHT) ***** (Rank 5)

Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 5 "Satellite" monsters

This card cannot be destroyed in battle by a monster with a Level. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; all face-up "Satellite" monsters you control gain 1000 ATK. If this card attacks or is attacked, after damage calculation, the ATK and DEF of this card become 0. 3 Level 9 "Satellite" monsters

This card cannot be destroyed in battle. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for every Xyz Material attached to this card. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.

CXyz Satellite Ray - Dyson Core ENERGY (LIGHT) ********** (Rank 10)

Machine/Xyz/Effect

4 Level 10 "Satellite" monsters

This card cannot be destroyed (either by battle or by card effect). This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for every Xyz Material attached to this card. If this card has "Satellite Ray - Dyson Core" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.

  • You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this turn, this card can attack your opponent directly.

Charge!

Normal Spell

Increase the ATK of all face-up "Satellite" monsters you control by 2000, but all battle damage inflicted to your opponent for the rest of the turn is halved. You can only activate 1 "Charge!" per turn.

 

Satellite Construction Lab

Field Spell

You can return 1 "Satellite" monster in your hand to your deck; add 1 "Satellite" monster with a different name from your deck to your hand. This effect of "Satellite Construction Lab" can only be used once per turn. During your End Phase, apply the following effects.

  • All face-up "Satellite" monsters you control in Attack Position gain 1000 ATK.
  • All face-up "Satellite" monsters you control in Defense Position gain 1000 DEF.

 

Rank-Up-Magic Satellite Force

Normal Spell

Target 1 "Dyson" Xyz monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Dyson" Xyz monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster you control, by using it as the Xyz Material, and if you do, attach the top card of your deck to that monster as an Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to it also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 face-up "Dyson" Xyz monster you control; attach the top card of your deck to that monster as an Xyz Material.

I'm sorry but this needs work. Th only good strategy here seems to be using the enhancer plus dyson level 5 combo to summon dyson core. The other monsters will get steamrolled unbelievably quickly, and won't even get a chance to get to over 2000 attack. All you can really do is summon dyson core and then hinge everything on that while quickly doing other xys summons to boost it. This is flawed because A. Hinging your strategy on one monster in a game full of removal is not a smart move. B. This is also not a very interesting thing to do, attacking every turn with one giant beat stick.

I appreciate the review. But these are just the monster portions. I'm still working on ideas for the Spell/Trap support. But they will be able to boost the stats much faster than the actual monsters themselves can.

I should be ready to update again tomorrow.
