In every of your Standby Phase banish the top 3 cards of your deck (It is not optional). Depending on the monsters banished by this effect (if any) activate the following effect(s) until the End Phase: FIRE / pyro-type: The equipped monster stays unaffected by other card effects. DARK / fiend-type: The ATK of the equipped monster is not decreased in the End Phase. LIGHT / thunder-type: The equipped monster inflicts piercing damage. As far as I know, Armityle decks focus on OTKs. The problem is that the Chaos Phantom can be destroyed with any card effect. I prefer building a deck around Uria the lord of searing flames to Armityle, because Uria's ATK can exceed Armityle's ATK by far. In addition he can destroy 1 face-down spell/trap card per turn and your opponent can't even do anything against it. So, to make the Chaos Phantom to anything relevant, I thought that this card would maybe be something interesting. I just don't know if it's too strong because of the effects, or too expensive because of the little luck and the non-optional 3 cards per turn cost. So if you've any suggestions - I'm all ears.
