Alchemy? (New Summon Type)

Ok, so this is my first post- though I've been lurking around for a while.

I've had an idea for a new Summoning type, and just want some feedback- plus there's a couple of variations and I'm not sure what will work best. This is for a story I'm writing, so I want to make them realistic, giving my spin-off its own Extra Deck Monster to work with.

So, [ALCHEMY] (I'm not totally sure on the name, but it's a good placeholder, no?)

First, a new Extra-Deck monster... Red Cards (think Slifer's backing) but otherwise normal monster cards. Powerful, normally with some kind of effect.

How to summon? Simple, you need Alchemy Materials. I'm basically thinking this would be kind of an extra deck ritual monster. So, the materials needed would be a spell card (Labelled as an Alchemy card itself) which acts much like a ritual card. You then send your tribute monsters to the graveyard- equal to the level of the Alchemy Monster, and summon your new Monster, with the Alchemy spell attached. At this point, the Alchemy Spells second effect would become active, as well as that of the monster.

Why two effects? Simple, it allows for more flexible Alchemy spells (Ones that can, for example, summon any Dragon-Type Alchemy Monster) whilst using the correct Alchemy Spell would empower the summoned monster even more. Plus, the effects listed on the spell could work like an XYZ material effect- basically a one-use only.

Here's an example: (Used Ritual as a placeholder, the Monster would be Red. Also, I'd need an Alchemy symbol)

Possible variations...

I thought, perhaps, of giving the Alchemy Material spell a 'Rank'- or stars similar to XYZ monsters that act as a negative with the tributed monsters. (For example, to Alchemy Summon a Lv8 monster with a Rank 2 Spell, you'd need to tribute 10 Stars.

I also considered the need for both an Alchemy Material Spell, plus a 'Forger' Monster card (Like a Tuner) who would be necessary to activate it. (So, you'd need one Spell, one Forger and extra monsters as tribute.

Option 2... Alchemic Weapons

Who says the extra deck just has to be monsters? Think Waking the Dragons here. Essentially the same kind of set-up, resulting in a Red (?) coloured 'Forged' Spell- usually (if not exclusively) an equip card.

Again, I'd imagine these cards to have a rank. Sending one 'Alchemy' spell, plus tributes equalling the Rank, to the grave would result in your new all-powerful card, such as this example from Joey...

Again, I'd imagine this to be Red. With the Rank on the same level as [Spell Card] in black stars.

I suppose, renaming the first option would help free up Alchemy for some impressive weapon/armour forging. There's no reason they couldn't be Rituals?

Feedback would be gratefully appreciated.

If it's just a "Rituals but in the extra deck" or "Synchros with a ritual spell" then it doesn't seem too interesting, the idea of having spell/trap cards in the extra deck is nice though, with a name like "Alchemy" though it would seem appropriate to summon them using spell/traps as the materials, wouldn't it?
