You can only use this effect of "Alien Crystal" once per turn.Design Notes● The idea of a Pendulum with a placement effect makes sense in Aliens due to the existance of Gol'gar, especially since it makes Gol'gar incredibly strong.● Searches for a Spell/Trap card so that you can Normal Summon it after using Gol'gar to bounce it and then get one of the many A-Counter related cards they have, such as:- "A" Cell Breeding Machine- "A" Cell Incubator- Code A - Ancient Ruins- Mass Hypnosis- Brainwashing Beam_________________________________________________________________________________________________________When this card is Normal or Special Summoned; You can send 1 "Alien" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard and, if you do, distribute 2 A-Counters among face-up monster(s) on the field. While this card is face-up on the field, once per turn during your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon an "Alien" monster in addition to your Normal Summon or Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)Design Notes● Giving Aliens their own Foolish Burial allows for a speedier usage of Alien Ammonite, while also having the additional upside of being able to distribute 2 A-Counters.● The additional Normal Summon clause allows for you to be able to use Alien Ammonite the turn that you send an Alien, giving Aliens the speed that they need to make Gol'gar._________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2 Level 4 "Alien" monstersThis card cannot be destroyed while there is an A-Counter on the field. When this card is sent to the Graveyard; You can remove 2 A-Counters from anywhere on the field and, if you do, add 1 "Alien" monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.Design Notes● Gives Aliens an alternate win condition that isn't Gol'Gar, meaning that they have more flexibility in their plays.● Allows for Rescue Rabbit and Alien Shocktroop to still be playable in the deck, as Rescue Rabbit makes Gen'Ghis with just 1 card.● Aids the problems of Aliens by giving them cards while also distributing even more A-Counters onto the board for your effects.● Lets you float into another Alien from Deck or Grave, meaning you can turn Gen'Ghis into Gol'Gar once his job is done._________________________________________________________________________________________________________The design is theory purely and I'm looking for feedback on these guys, mainly because I'm unsure of how the power levels lie. That part of the effect just sounds like it won't end well since the search is generic, even if the cost is specific.While it may be the case that it's generic (and as such it can search Vanity's Emptiness etc) it's still the case that the deck is Aliens. I love how Crystal is pretty much intended to be spammed with Gol'gar for counter spam and then subsequently NSd to search Mass Hypnosis which can steal games easily (Albiet predictable) Something they would definitely love to have. More often then not you'd never Pendulum Summon anyway, heh. Well done. Hive would be another gem Aliens would love to have. Deck mill is something they could desperately use (and King Feral Imp isn't always so readily made to get tutors into hand) and the Second Normal Summon is simply amazing. Using it with the aforementioned Ammonite could lead to a wide range of Synchro Options (or Golgar in most cases.) Having a Clear Wing and a Golgar out together would be pretty rad. --- Maybe it's just me, but I do feel one of the two should retain the A-Counter Reduction effect, it doesn't appear enough on relevant creatures. Gen'Ghis is great. I do feel if any archetype could get all forms of Monster Types, it'd be Aliens. The steal effect fits in flavor-fully with the archetype as intended and the A-counter distribution with a Draw 1 goes a long way. 2 seems to be the number of the day. It's also neat that A-Counters can go on a few non-monster cards which can turn Gen into a wall in a pinch. Aliens are awkwardly slow and their support is all over the damn place. Watch Dog is a thing, though it only fetches Cont Spells. also Gen him self is not generic so. . I don't know what your doing splashing Aliens just to search any Cont Spells or Traps.
