Whelp, let's take a look at this mess.

Lore: Pay half of your Life Points: Banish 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. During each of your opponent's End Phases,if that monster is still Banished; they can activate this effect to Special Summon that monster to their side of the Field ignoring its Summoning conditions. If they do: Banish this card(from the graveyard) and inflict damage equal to the LP paid for this card's cost. They cannot Normal Summon or Set the turn they activate this effect. You can only activate "Blackmail from a Different Dimension" once per Duel.

Yes, it doesn't target, but I think the cost used for it compensates.

EDIT: Updated card.

How did you write 1st ed?

If you intend on making the card once per duel, have it be a certain spot removal. "Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this card's activation." would be a good manner to make it much more lethal. In this instance, you are sacrificing half your LP to temporarily remove your opponent's monster (usually pushing for an OTK I presume, or removing a Djinn lock?), and that's totally fine, just realize Raigeki is better :P

Still, you ARE potentially hitting them for 4000 damage, so idk, weigh the power vs. the potential risk.

As for Special Summoning it back, this is not a very good idea. Instead of bypassing sum-lim, just say "Return to the field" so that it doesn't give your opponent the opportunity to get vanitie'd.

"Pay half your LP.... During any of your opponent's End Phases, your opponent can activate this effect to Special Summon ..... to their side of the Field, ignoring  Summoning conditions.

It's an interesting card, and I would definitely start playing 1 in most of my decks just for the secret removal tech it presents. Getting rid of winda for one turn can make the difference.

Also the fact that it doesn't target is hilarious.

Here's a synthesis of ideals of mine.

OCG with erratum

Pay half your LP: Banish 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. During each of your opponent's End Phases, if that monster is still Banished; they can activate this effect to return that monster to their side of the field. If they do, banish this card from your Graveyard and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the LP you paid for this card's activation. You can only activate "Blackmail from a Different Dimension" once per Duel.

EDIT: Nice art, man. I like.

Bump for update.

Thank you for the suggestion Nightmare, but I really wanted it be a Special Summon, because then you can piss off your opponent by chaining Bottomless or Torrential. And a little bit of extra cost for the opponent because of the Pot of Duality-like clause of them not being allowed to Normal or Set to take their monsters back. This is really supposed to be a very trolly card but not in a Vanity's kind of way.

I wrote the first ed in the YCM in the Circulation box. :)

Hilarious.

You really can't stop normal summoning tho, cuz it's kind of absurd. You neg them, and it doesn't target, and they take at most 4000 damage.

So please, :P

Howeeever, it is once per duel. Maybe you can sumlim the extra deck.

you can't normal summon a banished monster. that is literally impossible. and even if you could, you could still chain bottomless or torrential..
