Freedom of religion and expression are valid points' date=' but there is Separation of Church and State for the bible one.

Logically, Separation of Church and State (SoCaS) should mean that the project grade should not alter based on the presence (or lack thereof) of religious material. Giving a student a 0 on a project is a far greater breach of SoCaS than it would have been to give them the grade they would otherwise have received.

Alright then.

I'm on your side with this one, but only because I can be. Every other time I've just been against you for lack of opposition. =p

Yes, but Separation of church and state means that Religion is not taught in public school. Expressing yourself with a quote of the bible is not against that rule.

I'm even anti-religious and I think that teacher is wrong.

A teacher can give any excuse for failing a kid, as long as they deem it justifiable through their Narrow scope of reality.

Under terms of "Should", the kid should not be failed, however, because the teacher deemed it fit, then it was fair until it was challenged.

Isn't anything fair until challenged? It's the Two Plus Two Equals Five scenario. For all intents and purposes, anything is true as long as everyone believes it is true.

i know my school is the same way a kid got expelled for kissing on the buss once!

That's irrelevant to the stories we are discussing. One is about free speech, and the other is about the injustice of failing a kid for no sensible reason.

okay then ill good to another blog... any way i think that these days freedom of speach is being misused take neo Nazis for example

What does that have to do with the discussion?

Nothing, but its time to bring back that old thread I made concerning all political philosophies, way long ago.... brb

I found it... some 1600 posts ago...

i would give school education systems a -10,000/10. After all, people have all the rights to do/say/wear whatever they want since he/she likes it. And,religion is simply how certain people choose to live his/her live,it ain't a crime.

Jeez' date=' for once, I actually agree with HORUS on something that's not YGO. That's just messed up. Makes me glad I'm being in a school were I don't have to mess with that crap.

EDIT: When was that John Edwards thing? Hasn't Edwards dropped out?

People can still support him.

Not saying that I do. <_<
