Peridank
Nobleman of extermination has some use to it. But even back in GX era it wasn't seen as all that. I never understood why. I have liked the card all my life. I am curious as of why if people are willing to activate Nightbeam as to why not play this card? Can someone enlighten me on why this card is so bad? Select, destroy, and remove from play 1 face-down Spell or Trap Card. If it was a Trap Card, both players must remove from play all copies of that card from their Decks. Yemachu
Unlike "Night Beam", your opponent can just activate the set card in response to this card's activation. If the targeted card is face-up when this card resolves, it does not destroy and banish the target; let alone banish any copies in either players deck. Since most set cards nowadays can easily be chained to anything, it does not really do much (other than let your opponent activate a card at a less convenient time...). DuelSpectre
I did something with this card vs Nekroz, it was pretty niche but it worked. Anti-Spell Fragrance + this = salt. But yeah, card is too easily avoidable and can be a -1 to a -2 in today's meta. That and this card is pretty fun for net decking. Me: Show your deck. Opponent: wtf? Why? Me: Verify no copies. Opponent: ok, you just gotta show your deck too. Me: k, but yours first. Opponent: (shows deck) good? Me: yep, thanks for the deck. (Quits). Opponent: ....... Zauls
"face-down" That's where your problem is at. Far too many Traps are Continuous floodgates right now. Extermination fizzles if the target is flipped.
ihop
Actually, because it hasn't been printed since 2010 it's not immediately obvious whether it still hits cards that have been flipped. Regardless, it's still a worse Night Beam.
Zauls
The old ruling said that it didn't hit them if they were flipped, but it hasn't been updated, so yeah, we don't know. I am just assuming it still has that ruling. Also, the fact it has to be random unless hitting 1 card is really bad.
