Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
I posted a topic on gun control a while back but I thought I would post it again albeit this one is a little different. Also, let me start this off by saying this disclaimer; I do not hate guns and I respect the 2nd Amendment. As everyone knows, America has a huge problem with gun violence. I'm not just talking about Charleston. I also mean everyday violence that doesn't make national news. It's a huge problem. A problem that's not being dealt with. That brings us to the debate debate. The "Gun Rights vs Gun Control" debate. I used to mainly side with the gun control portion but now, I don't side with either. However, I do think some new gun laws are desperately needed. While I actually do not think guns themselves are the problem, I think the fact that anyone can easily get a gun in this country is. However, the NRA and the gun lobby could care less about the victims of gun violence and the families. Then, we have the people who make all gun owners look bad. Those people hurt more than help the cause. However, there are many, many responsible, law-biding gun owners in this country and they own guns without incident. I do not want the responsible, law-biding citizens to lose their guns. In fact, I would imagine many of they are sick of the violence themselves. These people are not evil monsters who are out to shoot up everything and hurt people. Owning a gun does not automatically make someone a bad person. Anyway, what do you think? Can gun rights AND gun control co-exist in America? Keep things civil and discuss.
