An interesting idea I came up with when thinking about some Pendulum Magician support. Can also be used offensively.

2 Level 7 monsters
If this card was Xyz Summoned by using a Ritual, Synchro or Fusion Monster as Xyz Material, it cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent’s card effects. Once per turn, during either player’s Main Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then declare 1 Level and 1 Rank from 4 to 7; this turn, if a player would Xyz Summon, monsters they control with the declared Level are treated as the Level required for the Xyz Summon of an Xyz Monster with the declared Rank, and cannot be used for other Xyz Summons.

Interesting effect. Just to make sure I have this right...

If i have a level 3 and level 5 monster i can declare level 4 and both their levels would be 4? Then I could declare a rank of 7 and Xyz summon the two for a rank 7 Xyz monster?

Wouldn't it be easier to have the effect read something like '...declare a number between 4 - 7. Monsters on the field are the declared level till the end of the turn. Players may only Xyz summon monsters whose rank equal the level of monsters affected by this effect this turn.' or something like that.

The way how it's written confused me, but that could just be me. Hopefully I didn't read this incorrectly or missing a bigger part to the effect.

No, that' not right, it allows monsters of the declared Level to be used for an Xyz Summon of a monster with the declared Rank. For example, using Level 4s for a Rank 7 by declaring 4 and 7.

Ok. I get it now. I don't know much about pendulum magicians, but I do like the idea of screwing up or deterring your opponent from Xyz summoning. Also decks that specifically focus on one level can benefit from this card, giving them more variety in their Xyz support (if they can somehow bring him out first). Cool picture and effect.
