Your hidden potential

So I was thinking about how generally it is better to stop your opponent from doing what they want than to make it easier for you to do what you want. So I thought about making some support cards that provide more benefits if your opponent "interrupted your plan". Below is the first card I made for this idea, please let me know what you think about this concept.

 

Target one monster you control, if that monster's effects are negated, it regains it's effects and can activate them instantly if possible. If that monster battles a monster controlled by your opponent this turn, it's attack or defense increases by half of it's original attack or defense, according to its position. A monster can only be targeted with "Inner Ki - Potential Unleashed" once per duel.
