SushiTheLegend Posted April 7, 2008 Report Share Posted April 7, 2008 Even GIMP can be used at the same degree as Photoshop when you know what you are doing, I don't know this from personal experience but I have seen graphics done with what I think is GIMP and were good so that is no excuse mate. NO, anyone can make decent banner with the same level as a photoshop banner if they know how to use GIMP. look at the irony, long ago i used to hate GIMP and you used it say it was very good, now your contradicting everything you used to believe in. Cyber Altair Posted April 7, 2008 Report Share Posted April 7, 2008 try searching for tuts, first thing to learn a program is make a blank black BG and slap a brush on it (white color) then check all the filters to learn tricks and were the can be used so when you do a banner you can easily know which filter/effect would work well, then go on to tools and learn them then go on to noob's tuts, then semi-pro and then professionals tut's. remember don't give up on it, keep trying and you will get bashed, just keep going and you might be even better then Draco. You can improve easy though, I'm new to this too, but the tuts are very helpful.Maps: Ugh... tile errors all over the place. Do a favour and download Advanced Map 9.0. It's ROM Hacking software but far the best for creating maps.Splices: 9/10, they're quite good. Although I can hardly say this 'cause I'm new too, with practice you can become a lot better.
