DragonovXZ Posted October 25, 2015 Report Share Posted October 25, 2015 My first ever archetype which is based on the usage of a specific type of counters called Stack Counters. All of the main deck monsters either generate counters or use the counters for something. [spoiler=Monsters (6)] Effect: When this card inflicts damage to your opponent, place 1 Stack Counter on it. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each Stack Counter on it. Once per turn: You can remove 2 Stack Counters from this card to destroy 1 monster your opponent controls. Effect: Each time you activate a Spell Card, place 1 Stack Counter om this card once that Spell Card resolves. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each Stack Counter on it. Once per turn: You can remove to Stack Counters from this card to return 1 Spell/Trap card your opponent controls to the hand. Effect: When this card attacks or is attacked, place 1 Stack Counter on it. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for every Stack Counter on it. During either player's turn: You can remove 2 Stack Counters from this card, change this card to Defense Position, also, this turn, your opponent cannot attack monsters you control, other than this card. you can only activate this effect of "Stack Soldier" once per turn. Effect: When you Summon a monster, place 1 Stack Counter on this card. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for every Stack Counter on it. You can remove any number of Stack Counters from this card to Special Summon a "Stack" monster from your deck whose level is equal to the number of counters removed. Effect: 3 Level 4 "Stack" monstersWhen this card is Xyz Summoned, you can transfer all Stack Counters from its Xyz Materials onto it. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each Stack Counter on it. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, this turn, this card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. Effect: 2 Level 4 "Stack" monstersWhen this card is Xyz Summoned, you can transfer all Stack Counters from its Xyz Materials onto it. This card gains 200 ATK and DEF for each Stack Counter on it. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Spell/Trap card your opponent controls, destroy it. Your opponent cannot activate the selected card in response to this card's effect. [spoiler=Spells (2)] Effect: If you control a face-up "Stack" monster, you can Special Summon a "Stack" monster from your deck with a different name than the "Stack" monster you control. If you do, place 2 Stack Counters on every "Stack" monster you control for every "Stack" monster you control. Effect: When this card is activated, place 1 Stack Counter on it. Once per turn, you can place 1 Stack Counter on this card for every "Stack" monster you control. Once per turn, you can move any number of Stack Counters from this card to any "Stack" monster you control. If this card would be destroyed, you can remove 1 Stack Counter from it instead. Fukato Posted October 25, 2015 Report Share Posted October 25, 2015 So even though you state that the counters would be used to do something, they seem to just be there for the stat boost and thats it. Also the only one that I can see getting stack counters is Stack Magician, but even then, all they add up to is a beatstick. They don't really have effects to use the counters for potential like destroying cards or drawing. The boost is nice but all I would like to see is the Stack Counters being more utilized other than simply gaining ATK and DEF. I would really like to see how this Archetype play out and develope more so I'll definitely be waiting for more cards! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
