First, a befitting theme song...Inspired by the old myths and history of my home state (Arizona), a love for things western, and another love for things ghostly and undead, the Dread West are a ruthless posse of Fiendish cowboys who use bestial Zombies to empower them in many ways as they ride across the sand and dust, terrorizing all who cross their wake. Per usual, all comments and thoughts are welcomed.

 

Desperado of the Dread West

Text: When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can send 1 Zombie-Type "Dread West" monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Dread West" card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone; send it to the Graveyard, and if you do, destroy 1 card on the field.

Rough Rider of the Dread West

You can only use this effect of "Longhorn of the Dread West" once per turn. When the equipped monster attacks or is attacked, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.

Diamondback of the Dread West

Text: You can target 1 Fiend-Type "Dread West" monster you control; equip this monster from your Graveyard or your side of the field to that target. You can only use this effect of "Diamondback of the Dread West" once per turn. At the start of the Damage Step, if the equipped monster attacks an opponent's face-up monster that is not a Fiend or Zombie-Type monster: You can destroy that monster.


Bilkidd, Hotshot of the Dread West

Text: 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Dread West" monsters
This card is also Zombie-Type while it is on the field or in the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can send 1 "Dread West" card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard, then target 1 monster your opponent controls or in their Graveyard; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK and DEF equal to half the original ATK and DEF of the monster(s) equipped by this effect.


Earrp, Marshal of the Dread West

Text: 2 Level 4 "Dread West" monsters
This card is also Zombie-Type while it is on the field or in the Graveyard. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent, and if you do, gain 1000 LP, also, draw 1 card. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

Ghost Town Out in the Dread West
Attribute: SPELL
Type: Field Spell
Text: All "Dread West" monsters currently on the field gain 200 ATK and DEF. Once per turn: You can activate 1 of the following effects this turn.
*Target 1 face-up Fiend-Type "Dread West" monster you control; change that monster into face-down Defense Position.
*Send 1 Zombie-Type "Dread West" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.
If this card in the Field Zone is destroyed by a card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Dread West" monster from your hand or Graveyard.

Phantom Ride in the Dread West
Attribute: SPELL
Type: Normal Spell
Text: Activate 1 of these effects:
*Add 1 "Dread West" monster from your Deck to your hand.
*If you control a face-up "Dread West" monster, Special Summon 1 "Dread West" monster from your Deck with a different name.
You can only activate 1 "Phantom Ride in the Dread West" per turn.

Quickdraw in the Dread West
Attribute: SPELL
Type: Quick-Play Spell
Text: When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated that targets a monster(s) on the field, while you control a "Dread West" monster: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. If this card is in your Graveyard, except the turn it was sent to the Graveyard: You can send 1 "Dread West" card in your Spell & Card Zone to the Graveyard; Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field.
