Tweaks that i need to fix later:

Shadow Whisperer- Hydride is level 4 not 2

All of them need to say Pendulum after their type 

I still need to make the spells traps and extra deck monsters

 

 

 

This is my first archetype i am posting, i hope you enjoy. I would love feedback and things like that. This archetype's background is that they are the shadows of evil cards in the game.They involve revealing in the hand as costs and burn sufficiently. They also are an archetype that cannot go into battle except with cards that are in the same column as it. I didn't know where to put it, overpowered, casual, experimental so i put it at casual. If i see comments saying it belongs in any of one those 3 i would tell a mod to move it there. I changed them from effect monsters to pendulum monsters and made them less overpowered and need to be Special Summon in order to be good. Hope you enjoy. For the artwork i just put the monsters that these monsters curse and become shadows to instead of getting the exact artwork.

Shadow Whisperer-Ghost cursed "Gogogo Ghost"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 4

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 3, 3

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn, you can add 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your deck to your hand. You cannot use this effect of "Shadow Whisperer-Ghost" unless you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum effect: Once per turn, if you reveal a "Shadow Whisperer" monster, you can add 1 face-up "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your extra deck to your hand.

ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500

Shadow Whisperer- Commander cursed "Destiny Hero- Disk Commander"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 4

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 3,3

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn you can Target 1 card on your side of the field and 1 card on your opponents side of the field, destroy them. You cannot use this effect of "Shadow Whisperer- Commander" unless you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, if a "Shadow Whisperer" monster you control is destroyed by battle or by card effect, you can destroy this card, gain life points equal to the monster that was destroyed. Then you can banish 1 card on the field.

ATK 1500 DEF: 1500

Shadow Whisperer- DreamClown cursed "Dream Clown"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 4

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 5,5

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn, you can draw 1 card. You cannot use this effect of "Shadow Whisperer-Dreamclown" unless you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, you can make all "Shadow Whisperer" monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster you control.

ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500

Shadow Whisperer-Vampire cursed "Vampire Lord"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 4

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 5,5

Monster Effect:This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand or deck but its effects are negated and it is destroyed during the end phase. You cannot use this effect of "Shadow Whisperer- Vampire" unless you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can change the monster column of 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster you control.

Shadow Whisperer- Ogre cursed "Cyber Ogre"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 4

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 3,3

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn you can add 1 "Shadow's" card from your deck to your hand. You cannot use this effect of "Shadow Whisperer- Ogre " unless you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum Effect: If you control a face-up Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster, and your opponent activates a Spell/Trap card during either player's  battle phase, you can reveal 2 "Shadow Whisperer" monsters from your hand, negate the activation and if you do, return it to the hand.

Shadow Whisperer- Zombie cursed "Zombie Master"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 4

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 3,3

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster in your hand to Special Summon 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your extra deck or graveyard. It is destroyed during the end phase. This effect of "Shadow Whisperer-Zombie" cannot be activated unless you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum Effect: While you control a face-up "Shadow Whisperer" monster, if your opponent were to add a card(s) from their deck to their hand except by drawing it, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand, and pay 1050 life points. Negate the activation of the card(s) that was to add a card(s) to the hand, and banish it.

ATK: 1500 DEF:1500

Shadow Whisperer- Cavalry cursed "Archfiend Cavalry"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 4

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 5,5

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. This card can inflict Piercing damage to your opponent. Once per turn, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand, double this card's ATK until the end phase. This effect of "Shadow Whisperer- Cavalry" can only be activated if you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn during either player's turn, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand to Target 1 monster your control. It cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects this turn.

ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500

Shadow Whisperer- Gorz cursed "Gorz The Emissary of Darkness"

Attribute: Dark

Type: Fiend

Level: 4

Pendulum Scales: 5,5 

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn, when your opponent attacks a "Shadow Whisperer" monster you control, you can Special Summon this card from your hand, then you can Special Summon 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your banished zone in attack position, then end the battle phase. Once per turn, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand, Special Summon 1 "Shadow Whisperer" token ( 0 atk 0 def level 1/fiend/DARK)  to each side of the field in defense position. "Shadow Whisperer" tokens on either player's side of the field cannot be destroyed by battle. This effect of "Shadow Whisperer- Gorz" can only be activated if you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn if you were to Pendulum Summon this turn, you can destroy 2 Pendulum Monsters on the field or in the Pendulum Zone and reveal 2 "Shadow Whisperer" monsters in your hand. You can Pendulum Summon monsters from your graveyard and your opponent's extra deck this turn.

ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500

Shadow Whisperer- Resonator cursed "Chain Resonator"

Attribute: Dark

Type: Fiend, Tuner

Level: 4

Pendulum Scales: 5,5

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn, you can inflict 525 points of damage to your opponent.This effect of "Shadow Whisperer- Resonator" can only be activated if you control another "Shadow Whisperer" monster. If this card is used as a Synchro Material monster, you can gain 1050 life points.

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, you can add 1 "Resonator" card from your deck to your hand. Once per turn, if you Special Summon a DARK monster(s), you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand, destroy this card, add 1 DARK monster from your graveyard to your hand, then gain 1050 life points.

ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500

Shadow Whisperer- Hydride cursed "Phantom King Hydride"

Attribute: DARK

Type: Fiend, Tuner

Pendulum Scales: 3,3

Level: 4

Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, you can look at the top card of your deck and reveal it to your opponent. If it is a DARK monster, add it to your hand, if it is not, send it to your graveyard. Once per turn, you can Target 1 monster you control. If it is used for a Synchro or XYZ Summon this turn, you can destroy 1 Spell/Trap card on the field.

Monster Effect: This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. Once per turn, you can inflict 525 damage to your opponent, then Target 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster you control, declare a level and the targeted monster  becomes that level. You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this effect except "Shadow Whisperer" monsters. You can only use this effect of "Shadow Whisperer-Hydride" if you control another Special Summoned "Shadow Whisperer" monster.

ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500

Shadow's Allure cursed "Allure of Darkness"

Spell: Normal

Spell Effect: If you control no Normal Summoned monsters, but at least 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster, you can Special Summon 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your deck, then you can add 1 Pendulum Monster from your deck to your hand. You can banish this card from your graveyard, reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand, place 1 Pendulum Monster from your deck to your Pendulum Zone. It's Pendulum Effects are negated until the end phase. You can only use 1 effect of "Shadow's Allure" per turn.

Shadow's Curtain cursed "Dark Magic Curtain"

Spell: Continuous

Spell Effect: Once per turn, if you control no Normal Summoned monsters, you can reveal 2 "Shadow Whisperer" monsters in your hand, then Special Summon 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your deck or graveyard.

Shadow's Dream cursed Anti-Magic Arrows""

Spell: Quick-Play

Spell Effect: If there is no Normal Summoned monsters on your side of the field, and you control a "Shadow Whisperer" monster, reveal 2 "Shadow Whisperer" monsters in your hand, your opponent cannot use any card effects for the rest of this turn.

Shadow's Benevolence cursed "Malevolent Catastrophe"

Spell: Continuous

Spell Effect: Up to twice per turn, during either players turn, you can change the column of a monster you control. Every time you use this effect, you must reveal a "Shadow Whisperer monster in your hand or your entire hand if no targets. When this card leaves the field by your opponent's card effect, draw 2 cards.

Shadow's Pawns cursed "Fires of Doomsday"

Spell: Quick-Play

Spell Effect: Special Summon 2 "Shadow Whisperer" tokens to both sides of the field( 0 atk 0 def level 1/fiend/DARK) in defense position. They cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects. Any damage involving a "Shadow Whisperer Token" is doubled. Then reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster in your hand or your entire hand ( if no targets).

Shadow's Chains cursed "Iron Chain Snake"

Trap: Continuous

Trap Effect: Up to thrice per turn, during either players turn, you can change the monster column of 1 monster you control. You must reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand or you cannot use this effect. When this card leaves the field, draw 3 cards. This effect can only be activated if you control 2 or more Shadow Whisperer monsters that were not Normal Summoned.

Shadow's Trick cursed "Magical Hats"

Trap: Normal

Trap Effect: All "Shadow Whisperer" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects and cannot be targeted. You can banish this card from your graveyard except for the turn this card is sent to the graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your deck or face-up in your extra deck.

Shadow Master- Beelze The Undying  cursed "Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons"

Attribute: Dark

Level: 8

Type: Fiend

Pendulum Scales: 3,5

Monster Effect: 1 Fiend-Type tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

Up to twice per turn, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand, to have this card gain its effects added on to this cards other effects. You cannot reveal the same monster twice. Once per turn, you can inflict 1050 damage to your opponent. This card cannot go into battle except with monsters that are in the same column as it. When this card is removed from the field, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand to gain 1850 lp for each "Shadow Whisperer" monster you currently control. This card is always treated as a "Shadow Whisperer" monster. This card cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects. When this card's monster column  is changed, you can put this card into your pendulum zone.
Pendulum Effect: Up to Thrice per turn, you can change the monster column of 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster you control. When this card in the Pendulum Zone is removed from the field, you can inflict 1050 damage to your opponent.

Shadow Master- Dweller cured "Abyss Dweller"

Attribute: Dark

Type: Fiend

Rank: 4

Pendulum Scales: 5,3

Monster Effect: 2 Level 4 DARK monsters

Once per turn, you can detach 1 XYZ material from this card, Special Summon 2 "Shadow Whisperer"monsters (1 from your hand and 1 from your graveyard) then inflict 1050 damage to your opponent. This card cannot go into battle except with monsters in the same column as it. This card is always treated as a "Shadow Whisperer" monster. If this card leaves the field, you can reveal 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your hand, add 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster from your  deck to your hand, then you can put this card into one of your Pendulum zones.
Pendulum Effect: Once per turn, if you have another "Shadow Whisperer" monster in your other Pendulum zone except "Shadow Master-Dweller" you can return 1 "Shadow Whisperer" monster you control to the hand, then you can gain 3000 LP.
ATK: 2850 DEF: 2850

 

This is all i have for now but more will come a bit later. I don't fix on weekends or add new cards on  weekends but there will be more cards added on weekdays. For now i would love some suggestions for cards that you think i would like for this archetype. Thanks for viewing! Extra deck coming later this week. After that, every 2 months or so, there will be a support card.

It is better to post written cards instead of blank cards, and remember to paste the lore of the card underneath it so it's easier to see

As I see now, many of the cards are a bit broken, such as "Dream Clown" it lets the player gains an additional draw, plus boosting the attack of all monsters by 1000, I suggest giving a cost or restriction other than "When you control another Shadow Whisperer Monster", and decrease the boost to about 300.

 

Ghoul and Tinker inflicts free 1150 and 925 burn damage respectively, too much damage try to decrease it to 500-625, might as well give it a cost for example, "destroy this monster at the end phase of the turn this effect is activated"The

 

Same goes for Ogre, since it can double it's attack, making it a 3000 beatstick without any cost

 

But don't get discouraged and try to fix these cards, since it's your first deck anyway

Thank you for your feedback Admiral of nAvigation, i will put their lores and pictures of their evil monster who they shadow upon.

 

Dreamclown was a filler card cause i always want 10 monsters so i did him without thinking hehe, i will definetely put the attackk increase to 300. The main reason why i put dreamclown and ogre to have their effects is because of the  pawns, dreamclown, ogre combo. It basically revolves around ogre with 4000 atk inflicting double piercing damage on a pawn and if you have shadow's dream, that's 8000 for an otk. 

 

Since the deck could stall being able to move their monster slots, i sat down and said i should put these monsters to have a little burn damage so that it can increase over time. I then saw your comment and thought about Gagaga Cowboy and then i realized that these burn damages were too high. I will make it so that tinker and ghoul will inflict 525 damage and the bosses will inflict 1050 damage instead of 1850.

 

I will make the effect of Ogre go to 3000 and if this card attacks, during the end phase, destroy this card.

 

I honestly loved your feedback and since it was my first deck i think i got carried away. I will change these cards and edit them.

haha thanks, i changed the names and switched effects here and there. The old ogre is cavalry. The new ogre is will o o the wisp. Tinker and Ghoul are hard to make now since they have a pendulum effect and tinker is lvl 2 so thats that. I love zombie to death because if it faced majespecters or something like that its an instant win. Its pretty hard to start off with this deck except by stalling and then it kicks off from there getting the scales and the monsters you are summoning. The spells are basically the same except they have more drawbacks now. I am also working on another archetype but i am going to finish this one first. Again thanks for the feedback. It is really appreciated.
