cp49100
Vain GreedNormal SpellLore: Send this card from your hand to the graveyard to activate its effect instead of playing it on the field. You can only activate this card if you have 1 or more non-occupied Spell & Trap Card Zone(s); Target 1 Continous Spell Card or 1 Continuous Trap Card in your Graveyard and place it face-up on your side off the field with its effects negated and if you do; Draw 1 card.If cards placed on the field via this effect whold go to the Graveyard; Banish them instead. I'm not really sure about the OCG on this one but I think it is at least undrstandable, the main point of this card is to make it easier to summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder or Uria, Lord of Searing Flames while also giving you some card advantage. You can also use it as an extreme to power up your Mage Power but I'd be carefull if I were you. EDIT#1: Made it so the cards placed onto the field by this card's effect are banished instead of going to the Graveyard,so you can't just activate this twice in a row that easily, unless of course you use Burial From a Different Dimension. EDIT#2: No more Magic Planter for you!EDIT#3: Reverted EDIT#2 since it was kind of steering off from what I wanted it to be,also because you can't pay for the cost of Magic Planter since EDIT#1 nicely spotted Enguin
Hello my name is Enguin
I mean, this is a +4. Decks like D/D/D wouldn't mind what is basically Pot of Greed but which clogs the field somewhat. I really do not think this is a good idea to just, you drop this, suddenly +4. The cards placed by this are negated sure but you can do a lot with fodder cards, especially the traps because Magical Planter is a card. Hell, a lot of decks can run 3 Fiendish 1 Vanity's at the minimum, and decks that use Magic Planter would fucking love this. That's the most likely application, and not a healthy one. Even just the draw is a base +1, disregarding all possible other interactions with the fodder it brings out, that's not something that's encouraged. I don't know really where you could go without changing it entirely. If it required you to banish the cards in your Grave, maybe that'd be alright, but I don't know, and it'd change the card's nature hugely.
Guest BGMCANN0N
To promote Hamon and Uria in such a way is admirable, but getting 3 Continous Spell Cards or 3 Continuous Trap into the Grave is no easy feat especially since they tend to stick around on the field. So the best bet would be milling them and making the deck solely around this... With some Lightsworns, and definitely Kuribandit. Using that horribly designed Fluffal Toy Vendor (hate that card). Now about the Draw 2.... I get it... The effect is hard as balls to pull off, but the draw makes it a technical +4, and some of those continuous spells and traps even replace themselves, and you can use things like Scrubbed Raid and Magic Planter to make use of em if they are in the way. Not to mention Fire Fist are still around...

Not to mention Fire Fist are still around...I decided to watch GX for like the 4th time and thought "Oh yeah,THOSE cards exist, let's make some support for them!" As for Toy Vendor, I use that card in my Macro Cosmos Deck, it is surprisingly easy to fill that banished zone, too bad Lavaval Chain is banned otherwise it whould be even more broken(Necroface) (you could still use Elemental Mistress Doriado if you REALLY want that card advantage tough). While I did remember about Scrubbed Raid I actually forgot Magic Planter was at 3,I tought it was at 2,umm...I can always make the cards placed by Vain Greed unaffected by the effets of your spell and trap cards tough! Hello my name is Enguin
Magic Planter sends them as a cost, so the newly added clause doesn't do anything. Oh wait the banishment thing, it does then. I'd say it's alright as is now.
