Guest BGMCANN0N
Scoped Unfolding Normal Spell Both players banish the top and bottom card of their Deck face-down, and then they reveal those cards (they remain face-up even after this effect resolves.) You can add 1 of those cards to your hand, and if you do, the following effect is applied:*During each player's Draw Phase, instead of conducting their normal draw: the turn player can add 1 card banished by the effect of "Scoped Unfolding" to their hand. You can only activate 1 "Scoped Unfolding" per turn. ------------------------------------------- Just another crazy idea for the card pool... And it is probably not an advisable one, but then again I never condone to the growth of the meta... (At least not directly persay) A thing to note though when 2 or more "Scoped Unfolding" s are going on during the Draw Phase the turn player only gets 1 add (Looked at Freed the Matchless Generals ruling), yet there effects will still remain for more turns to come. So that part isn't really problematic. Card tip: Pair this with Mind Crush to prepare for your opponent to utilize the Draw Phase effect. Just give me heads up for anything exceedingly jutting as usual... Or tell me more ways how you can utilize this. (I enjoy that a lot). EDIT 1/15/2016: Made the cards wording more specific as for the cards being revealed, and the bullet effectfor which card the players can add during the Draw Phase. cp49100
This is a preety fun one! Here are some example uses: [spoiler=Immediate pay-off]Summon Field-Commander Rahz from your hand to place a Lv4 or lower Warrior on top of your deck and activate Scoped Unfolding, then activate D.D.R - Different Dimension Reincarnation/Escape from the Dark Dimension (if it was a DARK-Type monster) to immediately special summon that monster.Plus if the other card banished by Scoped Unfolding is of no use to you then don't add it to your hand preventing the cards banished from your opponents deck from going to their hand (via this card's effect). A Cat of Ill Omen+Book of Taiyou(or any other card that flips monsters face-up): This one has 2,5 uses,if Royal Decree is on the field and you can't get rid of it then Trap Cards are going to be dead draws so place one on top of your deck and banish it with Scoped Unfolding so you don't have to draw into it later, also, if you add the other card banished this way to your hand you can add the banished Trap whenever it becomes usefull,Alternatively if you're trying to summon Uria, Lord of Searing Flames this will make it's descent even faster. If Royal Decree isn't on the field and you have Temple of the Kings you can activate that trap card imediately. Mount Sylvania and Goblin Circus:These cards are usefull on their own but with Scoped Unfolding you can do even more with them: Mount Sylvania places the top card of your deck, assuming it isn't a Plant-Type monster, either back where it was or on the bottom of the deck,we want the latter to happen, with this you can either do the same as above and banish "useless" cards OR banish powerfull that you can't use on the next turn so you can draw them later/Special Summon them with D.D.R - Different Dimension Reincarnation/Escape from the Dark Dimension.Since Goblin Circus only activates during the End-Phase it's real use with Scoped Unfolding is banishing "useless" cards from the bottom of your deck. [spoiler=Disruption]Phoenix Wing Wind Blast or Back to Square One: This let's you control which card is in the top of your opponent's deck (or yours if it benifits you) if it's a really troublesome card then don't add a card back to your hand via the effect of Scoped Unfolding. Sealing Ceremony of Raiton: With this you can make the card at the bottom of your deck be a WIND-Type monster, then you can either have 4 cards be banished via Scoped Unfolding and leave it at that OR add the WIND monster back to your hand so you can activate SCR again and banish 2 more cards from your opponent's Graveyard. Use Burial from a Different Dimension to send the cards banished from your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard, this way you can add the cards banished from YOUR Deck to your hand without any real drawback. Those are the ones I came up with but there are definitely much more uses for this fantastic card!
Guest BGMCANN0N
Your extensive look into this card's potential is very much appreciated... :) A lot I haven't considered on my end: it makes me wonder about certain things like how people could play around the "drawback" if they really wanted to... I might make changes to play the card safely, but I may be too clingy of the design at the same time. XD
