TokenMeister
The purpose of this archetype is to apply lingering effects to some of your opponent's Card Zones which would function in a way akin to Trap Cards, and then direct your opponent to play cards in them by making their other Card Zones ether unusable or an undesirable choice. Because a variety of different effects would be applied to your opponent's Card Zones while playing this deck I imagine that you would have to implement a counter or dice system to keep track of what effects are where, which is a bit of a pain but oh well. Any suggestions for revisions of effects, or any comments in general, are appreciated immensely. [spoiler=Monsters] Null-Zone Swarm:(Insect-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1200/DEF 1000) Effect: If this card is Summoned: You can select 2 of your opponent's Monster Card Zones. Once per turn, during ether player's turn, if a monster is Summoned in 1 of those Card Zones while you control this face-up card or an Xyz Monster that has this card as Xyz Material, you can negate the Summon, and if you do, destroy it. You can Special Summon up to 2 "Null-Zone" monsters from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Null-Zone Swarm" once per turn. Null-Zone Knight:(Warrior-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1900/DEF 1000) Effect: If this card is Summoned: You can select 2 of your opponent's Monster Card Zones. While you control this face-up card or an Xyz Monster that has this card as Xyz Material, monsters occupying those Card Zones lose 800 ATK and DEF, also they are banished when they leave the field. If this card battles a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing damage to your opponent. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent, you can Special Summon 1 "Null-Zone" monster from your deck. You can only use this effect of "Null-Zone Knight" once per turn. Null-Zone Spectre:(Zombie-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1500/DEF 1000) Effect: If this card is Summoned: You can select 2 of your opponent's Card Zones. While you control this face-up card or an Xyz Monster that has this card as Xyz Material, "Null-Zone" monsters and Xyz Monsters that have a "Null-Zone" monster as Xyz Material are unaffected by the effects of cards that occupy, or are activated in those Card Zones. Once per turn you can declare a level from 1 to 8; the Levels of all "Null-Zone" monsters you control become the declared Level. Null-Zone Acolyte:(Spellcaster-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1000) Effect: If this card is Summoned: You can select 2 of your opponent's Card Zones. Once per turn, during ether player's turn, if a card effect is activated while you control this face-up card or an Xyz Monster that has this card as Xyz Material, you can negate the effects of all cards currently occupying those Card Zones. You pay 500 LP to add 1 "Null-Zone" card from your deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Null-Zone Acolyte" once per turn. Null-Zone Thorn:(Plant-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1300/DEF 1000) Effect: If this card is Summoned: You can select 2 of your opponent's Card Zones. During your Standby Phase, if you control this face-up card or an Xyz Monster that has this card as Xyz Material and there is a card occupying 1 of those Card Zones, you can gain 800 LP for each card occupying 1 of those Card Zones, then draw 1 card. You can banish 1 "Null-Zone" monster or 1 Xyz Monster that has a "Null-Zone" monster as Xyz Material from your hand or side of the field to Special Summon 1 "Null-Zone" monster from your deck. Add the card banished by this effect to your hand during the second Standby Phase after the activation of this effect. You can only activate this effect of "Null-Zone Thorn" once per turn. Not sure if Null-Zone Thorn's last effect is worded correctly as it technically allows you to banish an Xyz Monster from your hand. Despite the fact that you will never encounter a situation in which you can utilize this aspect of the effect I was still a little upset that I couldn't find another way to put it. [spoiler=Extra Deck Monsters]Dark King Of Another World:(Xyz Monster/Warrior-Type/DARK/Rank 9/ATK 1500/DEF 1000)3 Level 9 DARK monstersYou can also Xyz Summon this card by using any number of "Null-Zone" monsters and/or any number of Xyz Monsters that have "Null-Zone" monsters as Xyz Material as the Xyz Material, except "Dark King Of Another World". (Xyz Materials attached to those monsters become Xyz Materials on this card.) You can only control 1 "Dark King Of Another World". This card gains 300 ATK and DEF for each Xyz Material attached to it. When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can select 2 of your opponent's Card Zones. If a card is sent to the Graveyard or banished from 1 of those Card Zones, you can activate 1 of the following effects:1. Attach that card to this card as Xyz Material.2. Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then if that card is a monster, Special Summon it to your side of the field.3. Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then if that card is a Spell/Trap Card, Set it to your side of the field. [spoiler=Spells/Traps] Null-Zone Territory:(Field Spell)When this card is activated: You can select up to 2 of your opponent's unoccupied Monster Card Zones and/or 2 of your opponent's unoccupied Spell/Trap Card Zones. While you control this face-up card, the selected Card Zones cannot be used. Each "Null-Zone" card you control and each Xyz Monster that has a "Null-Zone" monster as Xyz Material you control cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects once per turn. Null-Zone Invasion:(Continuous Spell)You can only activate 1 "Null-Zone Invasion" per turn. When this card is activated you can Special Summon up to 2 "Null-Zone" monsters from your Graveyard. Monsters Special Summoned by the effect of this card gain 400 ATK, but cannot be used as Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon and any battle damage they inflict to your opponent is halved. During your next End Phase after card is removed from the field, shuffle all monsters Special Summoned by the effect of this card into the deck. During ether player's turn, you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to activate the following effect:Select any number of unoccupied Card Zones that have been selected by the effect of a face-up "Null-Zone" monster you control or a "Null-Zone" monster that is attached to an Xyz Monster you control as Xyz Material; those Card Zones cannot be used until your opponent's next Main Phase 2. Null-Zone Command:(Normal Trap) During the turn this card was activated, you can choose the Card Zones in which your opponent Summons, Sets and activates cards. You can banish this card from your Graveyard to add 1 "Null-Zone" card in your graveyard to your hand. This effect of "Null-Zone Command" can only be used once per turn. Null-Zone Gateway:(Continuous Trap)When this card is activated: You can select 2 of your opponent's unoccupied Card Zones. During ether player's turn, if the selected Card Zones are occupied, you can banish this card to Special Summon 2 "Null-Zone" monsters from your deck or Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Null-Zone Gateway" can only be used once per turn. "Null-Zone" monsters you control gain 400 ATK.
Fukato
Your monsters may miss their timing if they are SSed on their effects. So change their effects from "When" to "If" so theyre not underpowered. Uhhhh, just no on Null-Zone Swarm's last effect, because no cost to Rescue Rabbit? Very overpowered. Add a cost and limit it to 1. Other than that the hard OPT effects should be worded as "You can only use this effect of "*insert name here*" once per turn. If you don't really know OCG well, try looking at similar cards or use cards as an example. I think this is pretty innovative and has a whole new function to it. Really creative work, complete this archetype please!
TokenMeister
Thanks a ton, glad you like the concept! I'll start altering the effects right away, also Swarm's effect doesn't SS from the deck like Rescue Rabbit, just from the hand and grave although you probably already realized that. If you hadn't, do you think still think his effect is over powered?
Fukato
His effect is overpowered because there isn't much of a cost to it, or rather any. I'd suggest it'd be only 1 otherwise a cost would be necessary. And it feels like this is the card that somewhat runs the deck too, and thats ok! TokenMeister
Now that I know that the shared effect for the Null-Zone monsters is not incorrectly worded thanks to fumofu, I changed the question above the cards a general description of how the archetype works instead. Edits and additions:1. Added Null-Zone Invasion.2. Switched and removed some sections of monster effects.3. Null-Zone Swarm now only Special Summons from the hand.4. Null-Zone Knight now reduces ATK by 800.5. Null-Zone Acolyte's search effect is now not only limited to the turn it is Summoned but has a 500 LP cost.6. Added two new effects to Null-Zone Thorn.7. Null-Zone Territory now protects Xyz Monsters that have Null-Zone monsters as material.
