HORUS
Resolved: Currency is a hindrance to society and must be eliminated. "The best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency" - Vladimir Lenin Currency is a form of debt. Currency has no value. It is given value by the user. Currency is unnecessary and a hindrance in society. Debate.
Static
We weigh human life in gold. As if Gold, or anything material was really worth anything. Eliminating Currency cuts off a lot of fuel for the materialistic lifestyle that causes poverty and wealth, classes, things that should not exist. CrabHelmet
Currency has no value. It is given value by the user. Actually, the raw materials out of which currency is made have their own intrinsic value. Which is why it's funny that the metal in a U.S. penny is worth more than a penny. >_> Similarly, banknotes can be burned to fuel fire, which is certainly a form of value. Of course it has some worth, but does a 100 dollar bill actually cost 100 dollars to make? It costs less than a cent to make. And we give it the value of $99.99? Currency creates poverty. CrabHelmet
Currency creates poverty. If you define poverty in terms of monetary wealth, then this is so redundant that it isn't even worth stating. If you define it instead in terms of standard of living and such, poverty predates currency and can exist in its absence.

Nothing. Food is dealt out by an organization regularly. No money is required. Crab: I guess what I mean is that currency creates finer lines between wealthy and the impoverished.
