Lunar Origins
Gladiator's Resolve[spell/Field]When this card is activated: Place 1 Gladiator counter on all monsters on the field and each Field Spell. When a monster is destroyed by battle: Transfer that monster's Gladiator counters to the monster that destroyed it, OR if that monster did not have a Gladiator counter: Place 1 Gladiator counter on the monster that destroyed it. Monsters on the field gain 200 ATK for each "Gladiator" counter on them. Cards on the field cannot be destroyed by Spell/Trap effects if a Gladiator counter is on them. If you control a monster with 8 or more Gladiator counters: You win the game. You cannot declare an attack during the turn "Gladiator's Resolve" is activated. Hello my name is Enguin
I really like the idea behind this. I'm just not sure if the immunity to S/T destruction is pushing it, because 500 ATK per counter is quite a chunk, and presumably you'll be activating it when your opponent either has nothing to benefit from or their monster is weaker so you get to turn even a Tricklown into a 2600 with essentially destruction immunity. Oh but then you can't attack the turn you activate it. Mmm. Stacking multiples of these is a thing you could do but it's hardly worthwhile. Right then, I don't see any real issues with this. And so this comment isn't going anywhere. Soz. Well actually the fact that when it leaves the field or the monsters with Gladiator counters and then it doesn't do anything at all at that point is something that could be dealt with. Theoretically in flavour I'd like the idea of it killing all the monsters with counters when it itself dies but that's a terrible idea in practical terms. The win condition is on Vennominaga-tier in how likely it is to happen before you normally win and 8 is a fairly arbitrary figure that I don't get the significance of. This is a ramble that said nothing but the card interested me.
cardffreakxx
i like everyting about it except the not being able to be destroyed by card effect part. It makes the field spell almost indestructible
Armoire
Like Enguin said, this card is really interesting. At first, I was expecting Gladiator Beast support, but it was even better--A very creative and themed alt. wincon that promotes battle interaction (which is not really very popular). And the fact that it becomes immune to effect destruction makes it even better in a flavorful sense that both players are seriously locked in a gladiator arena with no escape; except battle. My only problems with this are:Like Enguin stated, the ATK gain is pretty huge, that once you have a monster with 2 Gladiator Counters, it becomes more than threatening. You have a limited number of counters at all times. What I mean is, say both players only have 1 monster out each. You activate the card, there are a total of 3 Gladiator Counters on the field (including the Field Spell), which makes the alt. win kind of non-threatening. My suggestion is lowering the ATK gain to something like 100-200 and generate more counters as a reward (like destroying a monster by battle or dealing battle damage, etc.) And because this really peaked my interest, if you decide to make an archtype/series out of this, you can implement rewards for however many Glad. Counters a monster has or something. Like "If this card has 4 or more Gladiator Counters:" I don't know. I thought this was really cool.
Lunar Origins
Nerfed, made it more interactive by making it less interactive, and made a new way to generate counters.
